PAEDIA EXPRESS WRITES NIGERIA'S LABOUR UNIONISTS OVER YEARS OF UNPAID SALARIES AND PENSIONS

PAEDIA EXPRESS WRITES NIGERIA'S LABOUR
UNIONISTS OVER YEARS OF UNPAID SALARIES AND PENSIONS
The President,
Nigerian Labour Congress,
Abuja,Nigeria
Dear Sir,
WWHAT REMAINED OF A ONCE VIBRANT LABOUR BODY IN NIGERIA,SOME SAY IT IS NOW AN UNOFFICIAL GOVERNMENT MINISTRYImage may contain: 3 people, people standing
i pray and do hope that this letter meets you well sir,i  am writing you in  a last ditch effort at making somebody in Nigeria do all that it can at making sure that the backlog of unpaid salaries and pensions nationwide becomes a thing of the past .
As at the last count ,only amiable and God fearing Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State would appear to be good enough in this regards as the remaining 35 Governors are said to be found wanting.
In Kogi state of Nigeria where i come from ,The Governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello is said to be so inhumane that aside from owning the workers 24 months' salary ,also has the habit of throwing raw cash at the people he governs in the streets and focusing on mundane issues like gifting out cars to his core loyalists instead of performing one of the primary tasks for which he was elected into office in the first place :payment of workers' salaries and pensions/gratuity amongst other forms of emoluments.
To make matters worse he runs a highly oiled and organized militia group hence nobody can call him to order as he does as he pleases just like a gangster.
Please sir,can you use your good position to work with the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria and your respective state chapters excluding that of Lagos state and making sure that all the Governments of the 35 states that have not being paying salaries and pensions are sued to a law court of competent jurisdiction afterall it is the Governors that enjoy immunity the state governments do not have any form of immunity to the best of my knowledge..
This has become vital in the light of the recent revelations that President Muhammadu Buhari had so far ordered at least 1.9trillion dollars to be released to them via the Paris Club disbursements on at least three different occasions
Using Kogi state  as a case study ,a lot of people have died due to the pains and agony they were exposed to as a result of the inability to collect what they had duly worked for  .
Just last week i wrote the office of the Director General of the International Labor Organization on the same subject ,hence treat this issue very speedily as a lot of lives and mouth are at stake.
Thanks,
Yours Faithfully,
Abdulmumini Adeku.

PAEDIA EXPRESS FIRES BACK AT BAD LEADERSHIP!!!!Image may contain: text

at least 3 people warned me not to report about Yahaya Bello's bad leadership because i was going to be killed,i have reported it and am still alive.
Let it be known to this regime and their paid agents ,i Abdulmumini ireyi Adeku ,am a free born child of the Ebira people and am not a slave and no one ,whether he is Hausa or Fulani ,igbo or Yoruba or whatever nomenclature the tribe may may be can stop me from airing my views on Nigeria,Africa and the whole world whether now or even into the future under the guise of some bills.
I will not stop protesting bad leadership
If you have anything against me or the medium i work for the most civil thing is to go to court and to which we are ready to avail ourselves.

GT BANK MAN ATTEMPTS GLOBAL RECORD

LONGEST MARATHON READ ALOUD, GTBANK'S YOU READ INITIATIVE BACKS A NIGERIAN TO BREAK GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
BY NSIKAN IKPE,[LAGOS,NIGERIA]

As part of her initiative to rekindle the interest in reading, You read Initiative one of CSR programmes of GTBank launched in 2017 has given her support to a 40-year old Nigerian, Olubayode Treasures Olawunmi who is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Read Aloud from various schools in the environ.

Since 2008, Deepak Sharma Bajaan has held the world record in book reading after he read a total of 17 books in 113 hours and 15 minutes.
Now, Olubayode is taking a shot at breaking the world record by reading over 15 Nigerian published books in 120 hours over a period of 6 days at the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba.

Hail from Ogun state, Olubayode Tresures Olawunmi started the challenge on Monday 26th February, 2018 at exactly 1;30pm Nigerian time. So far, he has read nine books including Toni Kan’s the Carnivorous City, Sarah Ladipo Manyika’s Independence, Leye Adenle’s Easy Motion Tourist, Elnathan John’s Born on a Tuesday amongst many others.
Today (1st March) is the 3rd day of his marathon attempt and he has done over 72hours of reading.
The father of 3, Olawunmi, students from various schools in the environs and 250 readers were highly celebrated by GTBank at the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba recently refurbished by the bank.
GTBank has consistently played a leading role in Africa’s banking industry. The Bank is regarded by industry watchers as one of the best run financial institutions across its subsidiary countries and serves as a role model within the financial service industry due to its bias for world class corporate governance standards, excellent service quality and innovation.

The Nigerian reader, Olubayode Treasures-Olawumi who is attempting to surpass the Guiness World Record for the longest individual read-aloud session in world history, is now into the third day of the scheduled 5-day challenge.
When our correspondent called at the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba venue of the challenge Wednesday afternoon, Bayode, who commenced the challenge on Monday, had already read some seven books.
Principally made up of works of fiction by Nigerian authors, the books include Toni Kan’s The Carnivorous City as well as novels by Sarah Ladipo Makinwa and Elnathan John.
The current record for the longest marathon reading (aloud) session was set by Deepak Sharma Bajagain of Nepal at the Tudikhel Ground, Kathmandu, Nepal.
That challenge ran from 19 to 24 September 2008 and Bajagain read aloud a total of 17 different books from 13 authors to set the record.
Commentator’s say that Bayode’s record-breaking effort is already contributing to raising renewed awareness about the need to take critical steps on the path of seriously boosting the reading culture in Nigeria.

HATE SPEECH: IPC WARNS AGAINST BILL…….. CALLS FOR THE RELEASE OF TONY EZIMAKOR

HATE SPEECH: IPC WARNS AGAINST BILL…….. CALLS FOR THE RELEASE OF TONY EZIMAKOR
PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AND ALHAJI LAI MOHAMMED,MINISTER FOR INFORMATION ARE PUSHING AHEAD WITH A BILL MANY SEE AS SELF SEEKING RATHER THAN FOR NATIONALISTIC INTEREST

The International Press Centre (IPC) Lagos-Nigeria has called on the Senate to drop the proposed hate speech bill that seeks to recommend death sentence for purveyors of hate speech.
The bill which is being sponsored by Senate Spokesperson, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi proposes that anyone found guilty of any form of hate speech could face death by hanging upon conviction.
The Director of IPC, Mr. Lanre Arogundade, in a statement today (March 2, 2018) said what the country needs today is engagement by multiple stakeholders to determine what actually constitutes hate speech and agree on effective measures for dealing with such. “A draconian law that hallmarks dictatorship cannot be the solution to hate speech in a democratic society”, Mr. Arogundade stressed.
The IPC Director also said that should such a bill become a law it would certainly pose a major threat to freedom of expression, freedom of the press and safety of journalists.
“Much as we do not welcome hate speech, we do not also welcome a law that would gag citizens and deny the public the right to know”, Mr. Arogundade added.
………..Detention of Tony Ezimakor
The IPC Director has also called for the release of Tony Ezimakor (Daily Independent’s Abuja Bureau Chief) who was arrested and detained by the Department of State Services headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, February 28 after honouring an invitation from the security agency.
Mr. Arogundade said in the alternative, the DSS should immediately charge Mr. Ezimakor to court if the agency is convinced that he has committed any offence known to the law of the country.

NIGERIAN LABOUR:PAEDIA EXPRESS WRITES I.L.O OVER UNPAID SALARIES,PENSIONS

PAEDIA EXPRESS WRITES I.L.O OVER YEARS OF UNPAID SALARIES,PENSION IN NIGERIA..
The DIRECTOR GENERAL,
The INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANISATION[I.L.O]
4 ROUTE DES MORILLONS,UNITED NATIONS,
GENEVA ,SWITZERLAND.
Dear Sir,
Image result for international labour organisation
i write you to inform your office of the general breakdown of law and order in my country ,Nigeria as afr as labour issues are concerned.
There is a common phrase and which is even scriptural and that is the fact that a labourer is worth his wages but this is glossed over in the administration of the affairs of each state by virtually all the elected Governors in Nigeria..
Out of the 36 state Governors in Nigeria,The News office Desk of E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria where i work has it on record though from secondary sources that only Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has paid salaries up till date.
We do not have any mechanism to confirm this in a jiffy but judging from the quality of life which is open for all to see we are tempted to believe this assertion completely.
This kind of incident was alien to our culture but it started to gather grounds in the immediate regime of Dr Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan .
In Kogi State where i hail from we have a Governor who has a habit of throwing away money from public treasury and then distributing same to them while at the same time giving out perks among which could includes vehicles to custodians of masquerades in the state while payment of salaries which is his primary duties are usually neglected.
Sir,i hope that you can use your good offices to put pressure on the Nigerian Labour Congress [N.LC]and the Trade Union Congress[T.U.C]to use their respective state chapters to sue their state governments as the Nigerian Federal Government recently declared that it had released a sum of around $ 1.9trillion  towards alleviating the sufferings of workers in the states but to which Governors have decided to divert to other uses best known to them.
Again using Kogi state as a case study ,at least 500 workers have died due to the pangs of hunger and a rising wave of poverty ,on a personal note i do know somebody who is almost blind due to Governor Yahaya Bello's callous nature and i do also know somebody who died to a case of diabetes which became very severe after it emerged that he had no money to treat himself.
i can arrange a meeting between you .sir and the victim's family if you wish to confirm what i have just said and infact you will most likely weep at the poor living conditions of people in the midlands,Kogi State of Nigeria.
i pray sir, that you can use your God given position to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to allow an official or officials of your agency to be fixed for each of the states in Nigeria so that this way salaries and pensions can get to the real owners otherwise i have lost total confidence in this group of politicians to ever do the right thing as this is completely alien to them.
if this is not done i fear a workers revolt very soon and this can cause more chaos for a nation that already battles Boko Haram,Fulani Herdsmen  and so many other social vices.
I wish you very well on Nigeria's labour Matters,sir..
Thanks,
