globally as two major events in the nation's media calendar took place

They were the Diamond Awards on Media Excellence [D.A.M.E]and
The Nigerian Media Merit Awards[N.M.M.A.]
It was exclusively discovered that The Daily Trust
Newspapers which was voted Newspaper of
The Year in Nigeria in 2016/2017 could not even be named among the top three of
the nominees for the same awards let alone have its reporters get nominated or
even win any of the categories available and to be competed for.
Sins:The brand's refusal to collect gifts out of a noble
desire by Mr Abdulmumini ireyi Adeku of
Paedia Express Trust to contribute his own quota towards alleviating the pains
and sufferings of the internally displaced Persons[I.D.P.]in the North Eastern
Region of the nation.

Television refused to cover the land grabbing of Ogu nations ancestral lands by
Lagos state government officials despite an official letter being written to
them to that effect and yet for well
over a decade,this was and it still is NIgeria's best television station:How
Tragic!!
Daily Trust Newspapers did not get any form of awards this
year not necessarily because the organizers of D.AM.E,N.M.M.A awards were good
people but because they wanted to run away from this reporter's critical pen .
CNN African Journalist of the Year has since being rested or
scrapped altogether after Mr Abdulmumini Adeku complained bitterly in a
personal letter to the Founder of CNN,Mr Ted Turner aboutrot in most Nigerian
media firms.
It would appear that the Punch Newspapers got its awards for
reasons bothering on marketing rather than its contents in 2017 while Daily
Trust Newspapers was chosen in the year
before this because the organizers wanted to use it to befriend President
Muhammadu Buhari and to spread the award
to Abuja after it had being domiciled in the Lagos press area for so long a
time.

at the level of stupidity being displayed by the yearly organizers of the two
most important media awards in the Nigerian news based calendar.
It is very strange that industry players whose cardinal aims
and objectives should always be geared towards the general good of the society
at all times before the issue of profitability are surprisingly only interested
in the latter even if heavens will fall.
This medium makes bold to say that every award given by
these two agencies :The Diamond Awards on Media Excellence, The Nigerian Media
Merit Awards since 2007 are nothing but
fraudulent and we at The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group at
First Floor, Mausight Suites ,Number Two
,Thomas Salako Street in Ogba,Lagos,Nigeria
will be willing to entertain a court suit if they claim that we have
defamed them in anyway.
At a time ,The British Monarchy is cleaning up the mess in
their polity in London by de-robing all those who have brought their society
into some form of disrepute ,here in Nigeria we are busy decorating ritualists,
armed robbers ,pen robbers ,kidnappers ,cultists and so many others of highly questionable
characters all in the name of wanting to survive.
Just how much did the owners of The New Telegraph,The Nation
Newspapers gave out to the organizers of this two fictious media agencies: D.A.M.E,N.M.M.A
that they have gotten an avalanche of
awards?
Just seeing the front cover of The Nation Newspapers of the
15th of DEcember,2017 confirmed our long held believes,even Mr Gbenga Omotosho
who was crowned Editor of The Year by N.M.M.A was mournful in the picture which
was supposed to see him celebrating an award..
N.M.M.A,D.A.M.E should stop this nonsense forthwith and give
awards based on established ethical standards.
