Nigeria has
a penchant for not renewing its coaches contract or even sacking them
altogether after losing out in major football championship ,The World Cup
inclusive.
He should
be allowed to continue the great work he has started in Nigeria now for at
least another four years or thereabout.
The world
cup is not won on a short term project and if he is still in charge of
proceedings in the squad the useful lessons he has learnt now will serve the
team well into the future..
The Super
Eagles of Nigeria should have done better at the World Cup with a better crop
of players with a greater focus of the battle hand but Nigeria has lost out and
now even if her people are licking their wounds for the elimination it is not
advisable to suddenly go paranoid.
The
Nigerian Football Federation [N.F.F]should seat down with coach Gernot Rohr to
discuss his plans for the team in the next 4 years while at the same time work
out the details of how he intends to help develop the Nigerian football league.
However.we
demand a player representations of at least 14 foreign based soccer players and
09 local based players at all times from now on and moving forward in national
interest..
This will
help to raise the level of competition for shirts by those abroad while at the
same time help to develop the Nigerian Professional Football league.
The
opportunity inherent for the local football stars will be seamless..
