SPECIAL REPORT :MEDIA AND POLITICS IN NIGERIA1859 TILL 2018

SPECIAL REPORT :MEDIA AND POLITICS IN NIGERIA1859 TILL 2018Image may contain: Abdulmumini Ireyi Adeku, stripes

Who really is Otcheriwhegh Abdulmumini ireyi Adeku in the history of the Nigerian Press, well we like to tell you that without being immodest he climbed the ladder of just being a reporter and a media owner to been a media baron as  far back as December,2014 courtesy  of God factor rather than hard work as a lot of people work very hard.
There are lots of media executives ,reporters ,correspondents ,editors and editor-in-chief's aside from the owners but the fact is that seriously not every media owner can qualify to be called a Baron.
It is vital we state this very clearly so that people do not start using the words wrongly to mislead the general public.
There are all sorts of barons in the business and corporate world :media, business and drug barons with the latter usually been outlawed figures operating in the underworld but extremely very powerful mafiaso well if you doubt read Mario Puzo's account of the Corleone Dynasty in the Godfather.
Barons are so called on account of the level of control that they have on a territory ,the quality of influence and the impact  their respective brands had being making and are still making.
Most Barons apart from been as powerful as Presidents/Vice Presidents,Prime Ministers, can actually make regimes to stay in power, fall out of power and can even go ahead to sponsor candidates of their own choice while influencing the general public to their advantage.
So for a politician that understands the dynamics of power very well ,what he or she will do will be to court their friendship rather than engage any one of them in any form of fight at a bus stop or otherwise.
Otcheriwhegh Abdulmumini ireyi Adeku is not interested in any candidate for the 2019 polls other than those in any of the parties that will do the will of God and the people's desires,he will also pray and hope that a free and fair polls  that will make every Nigerian proud will be achieved as this will be a pointer to the nation's future greatness.
Though he has an excellent family antecedent ,his recent decisions to designate himself as Prisoner-of-War is due to his overwhelming desire at making sure that Nigerian becomes greater than it is presently.
On account of his strict adherence to the ethics of the Journalism profession,Otcheriwhegh A.I.Adeku,Late Mr Dele Giwa,Late Reverend Henry Townsend,Late Owelle Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe,Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo are by far the names that stands out of the pack though with profound respect to all others mentioned..
In some nations like Brazil ,special legislations are even made to deny barons the opportunity of contesting for political positions because of their unusual powers.
There are some media firms around the world that do not allow some of their valued staff to go into politics and if they do they may likely not be allowed to serve at some editorial level because of the believe that having dined and wined with politicians they may have been compromised professionally..
However we dare say that this kind of legislation or media ruling will not be good for a nation like Nigeria that has suffered from poor leadership since  1960..
Otcheriwhegh Adeku has a record of interviewing and interacting with not less than 14 Presidents,Vice Presidents,Prime Ministers in the course of his career and so understands why the Department of the State Security Services [D.S.S.]is after him but he insists that he is innocent .
Though Otcheriwhegh is not an angel from heaven and neither is he a saint from the Vatican but he is not some cheap street criminal and this can be verified by anyone who cares to cross check..
So using Drones, wiretaps to monitor Otcheriwhegh Adeku will not work at all as he is by a special grace from God Almighty  the custodian of all the barons...
We have to put this in proper perspective and publicly for the first time ,since we noticed that The President has chosen to fight dirty at the bus stop instead of friendship.
If you doubt that he is a baron then look at this scenario:Otcheriwhegh Adeku had written his version of the removal of the D.S.S. boss but he was neither questioned openly, rebuked openly nor arrested and yet a Premium Times reporter who wrote a similar piece though from a different perspective got arrested .
But it is a special favour and grace from God Almighty as Otcheriwhegh Adeku does not see himself as better than any human being ,God probably saw a zealous young man with a genuineness of heart to work for humanity and not necessarily a saint and so decided therefore to bless him in this way especially going by all the persecutions against him for 17 years at a stretch .
Let it be noted that no man can curse a man blessed by God ,no matter how percieved to be strong by mortal men
