NEW CANNED FOOD BRAND TAKES SHAPE IN
NIGERIA

There team of marketers and other
company were seen activating there five different variants of brands namely Egusi,Stew,Pepper Soup,Ogbono and
Vegetable canned soup mixed with beef in a can at the Ogba Bus stop,a place
with a reputable human traffic of not less than a possible 100,000 on the
average in a day .
In an exclusive chat with The Premier News in his office in Lagos,Nigeria ,The Executive Manager of the Teruke International Limited in Nigeria,Mr Otiala O. Lawrence saying that
Though they have just
started in the market place but they surely have a long way to go….
Mr Lawrence explained that though the brand has had a great
and positive effect in the market place with its attendant criticisms from consumers alike and the sales has gone up tremendously in the
last one month we hit the market..
He assured that the unique selling point of the newly
introduced brand is that it is unique a
product as it is tuned to the native of
the Nigerian nation…
He assured that the brand buys up all its products for raw
materials ,100 percent from Nigeria and
not overseas like some people erroneously believe…
The brand builder noted that in the future they expect things to be greater in that they
will explore options in the export market
as they make use of a planned promotional campaign .
He assured that the brand will make use of all the known
marketing mix strategies which will involve advertising on Moving Media,Outdoor
advertising,Digital Media,Conventional advertising on television,radio,newspapers
amongst other alternatives…
He affirmed that the brand was free from cancer as it has
passed the test of due diligence from the United states authority on food
,F.D.A. while insisting that all its constituents organically were naturally
grown save for the fact that they could be canned..
He pointed out that the brand was putting plans in shape to
prepare a campaign to combat any dangers associated with counterfeit versions
of their products so as not to lose money in the end..
He revealed that the company has a factory at Mowe on the
outskirts of lagos inside Ogun state even as it produces between 700 cans to
1,000 cans of the brand on a daily basis .
His words:”It’s a new product and there are always
challenges in the market place ,we cannot put the right figure on our sales
on daily basis but it has been quite
impressive”
“we have to do what we can to support the society ,any
reasonable corporate entity should know that it has know choice than to support
its immediate environs in terms of corporate social responsibility hence Teruke
International is not an exception at all”
Lawrence pleaded with the government at all tiers to provide
support systems via the provision of loans ,enabling business environment
,financing,,grants amogsts other opportunities.
He added that there was no nation in planet earth that can
be tagged as being industrialized when the manufacturing sector is stone cold
:dead as the real sector was gone since most of the factories of the past
had being taking over by religious institutions.
It was gathered that the shelf life of the brand was just
about a year old so long as it is not tampered with in any way
This reporter was duely informed that new distributors can go to there portals by
paying and ten the payments will be made to the brand formally with a pack of 6 being sold for N3,150 and a
pack of 12 sold for N6,300
