2019 Polls:Paedia Express rubber stamps Supreme Court Verdict
By Abdulmumini Adeku[FRONT PAGE EDITORIAL OPINION]
We will not seat at The Editorial and Policy Board of the E.N.M.Paedia Express  Multimedia  Group of Lagos,Nigeria and throw darts at the Supreme Court of Justice of Nigeria ,the nation’s apext court .
The Judges have ruled in favour of the incumbent Nigerian President ;Muhammadu Buhari and to the best of our knowledge the best decisions so far on the subject ,at least to prevent a full  scale war situation or a break down in law and order in the system..
To his challenger ,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar ,ironically once a holder of the exalted seat of Nigeria’s Vice President ,we hail for his statesmanship ,doggedness and the pursuance of Justice even when he did not eventually get his hearts desires.
Let everyone in the land, politicians and otherwise learn to flip to the next page of our national life so as to help stimulate national development .
Once again,we say congratulations to both All Progressives Congress [A.P.C] and the Peoples Democratic Party [P.D.P.]for carrying out steps which can only help to deepen our democratic institutions into the future as we believe that the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]should have learnt some reasonable lessons from the grey areas raised by the petitioner in the case  even if it was not enough to cancel the entire process.
The Nigerian President,Muhammadu Buhari should go ahead and approve the Electoral Acts so as to help safe guard the nations hard earned democracy into the future.
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s  position from now on should b given to a proven jurist who has retired from the bench, an academia or a member of the civil society groups who has no political cleavage after at least three to five names have being selected and recommended for the job by the President  with a Joint session of the National Assembly putting their candidature into a voting process..
We think that the analysis of our lead columnist and one of Nigeria’s best without a doubt,Mr Jack Amaso is great but it is now only good for academic and research purposes  as we have to  balance this up with the issue of national security hence we will be giving it less prominence  so as not to aggravate the injuries of those who are not happy about the judgment in the Supreme Court.
