SARAKI WORSE THAN NIXON’S WATERGATE SCANDAL

In the early 1970’s,as America’s President: Richard Nixon using his exalted office as number one citizen defiled democracy in what was called The Watergate scam.

This singular incident was to define the entire life of the politician who was once looked up to by his people.

Former President Gerald Ford who replaced Nixon at the oval office of the White House was burnt by the  fires of the scam,as the American public were enraged that instead of Nixon been prosecuted and jailed he was given  a state pardon by The President Ford’s regime.

At the 1976 polls between Ford and Jimmy Carter ,the former suffered a crushing defeat .

At death later almost three decades later,Nixon despite the presence of the five surviving Ameriacn leaders at the time was not given the joy of a full state burial as that society was still every much angry..

Dr Bukola Saraki is eminently qualified to have been elected as Senate President  of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ,irrespective of the tactics he used to get the votes .

However ,it was wrong to lie under oath while declaring his assets ,if this were all his sins perhaps the Nigerian public could have glosses over the incident as perhaps a rare lapse in human judgment and allow it to pass.

The defining moment for Saraki like Nixon had to be his bank account documentations that got burnt at the Central Bank of Nigeria [C.B.N].

Well it’s up to him to deny the knowledge but this will define his political career forever …..
