FRONT PAGE EDITORIAL:STIMULUS PACKAGE SHOULD BE WORTH N100
BILLION
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU[LAGOS,NIGERIA]
Based on the lockdown being experienced in virtually the
entire nation of Nigeria ,The Editorial and Policy Board of the E.N.M.Paedia
Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria will plead with President Muhammadu
Buhari to urgently release as much as N100 Billion in liquid cash to the entire
system so as to cushion up the immediate effects of the lockdown due to
Covid-19 globally.
This we arrived at after consultations with several people
especially the ordinary man in the streets who are worst hit by the reality of
the Covid-19 Pandemic.
it is believed that if
the cash is injected into the economy through the 40 million BVN account
holders officially it will go along way
at stimulating the economy as each of the BVN Account holders should get
N250,000 each on an individual basis .
We do believe and with the right reasons that there should be a corresponding ripple
effect as a result of this decision as
result on the business and economic value chain in the
short,medium and the long term.
For cash not spent by each of the account holders ,the
government can withdraw the amount after two months of its initial release as
some of the owners may no longer be alive.
As at pres time,The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia
Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria
had being confronted severally by a lot of angry Nigerians who were
determined and actually demanding to know
what is in it for them as they continued to stay at home as looters of
shops were now said to be having a field day in Lagos,Nigeria..
In the last 24 hours ,suspected hoodlums attacked the
Oke-Odo L.C.D.A. Secretariat in Lagos,Nigeria with restive youths accusing
government officials of deliberately
hoarding food materials.
More of this ugly incidents will happen if nothing is done
to arrest the situation ,we are
well aware of all of the efforts being made so far by The Nigerian Presidency, eminent
and spirited Nigerians to provide succor to the populace but at least a package of N100Billion is what
the system is demanding for...
