Checks also showed that couple of weeks ago ,Chief Orji Uzor Kalu in a press statement seen by this reporter  in the Daily Edition of The Sun Newspapers raised an alarm when he told the world that the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission [E.F.C.C.]was hell bent on convicting him as they had moved the case against him from Abuja to Lagos thus raising the speculations that the E.F.C.C wanted to use the judges sympathetic  to the ruling party in power,the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C.]in Lagos to send The former governor to jail..

It would be recalled that Chief Orji Uzor Kalu using his Sun Newspapers to a good effect had earlier on given an award to honour Tinubu earlier on in the year but with the latter unable to help him loosen  the screws around him ,the former decided to dump  his own party:Peoples Progressives Alliance [P.P.A]so as to avoid Kirkiri Maximum Prisons or others in its category.

As at press time,Chief Orji Uzor Kalu would appear had been told point blank by A.P.C chieftains in very clear language”sorry we rigged you out in the 2015 Senatorial Ticket but help us to win the Eastern polls in 2019 and you will stay out of the prisons otherwise we can help you as you will go down”

The politician has however denied this in very terms  ,insisting that he has not done anything wrong to compromise on political standards.

In a suit that was charged at a Federal High Court in Abuja with a Barrister Rotimi Jacobs as prosecuting counsel and trial number put at FFHC/ABJ/CR/56/200,Chief Orji Uzor Kalu was  arraigned on a 107 count charge of money laundering with an appeal pending on the issue of jurisdiction by the accused.

Kalu is said to have embezzled at least N5billion in the period before the nation declared an economic recession by the E.F.C.C.
