- REGGAE STARS TO HIT LAGOS SOON

- The African Meet Reggae International Music Festival will have the who is who in the reggae genre of music playing to a sell -out crowd at the Hockey Pitch of the National Stadium in Suru-Lere, Lagos, Nigeria.
- In his address to a cross section of the crème-dela-crème of the local and global press recently,The organizer of the showpiece ,Victor Essiet of the Mandator Fame said that he was happy that he was staging such an event ,now in its third year because it has being a veritable platform at helping to promote our culture.
- He assured all present that they did not have any sponsor at the moment that was assisting them with money as he has been doing that all solely on our own but quickly used the occasion to thank Kenyan Airways for their support so far.
- He went down memory lane and recalled that it was the void he and others like him created when they left our shores for America in the 80s that made a vacuum to be created in the reggae realm in Nigeria but assured that all that will soon change.
He insisted
that no matter what happens hey will continue to do what they know how best to
do ..
He revealed
to the pain of the gathering that a particular media outfit told them that they
will not be willing to promoted his activities and even rejected the sum of
N1.5million that he offered towards the promotional package.
He listed
some of the artistes expected at this year’s events were as follows:Nkulee
Dube,Big bob,Redfyah,Illest Nana,Malaika,Oritse Femi,Shey Shay,presh ,Captain
Blazee,St Peters,Isaac Billyman,Jethro Lion,Emperor Zig Zag,Sweat Reggae Band
and Faith Okosu,Tuface Idibia,Eljai,Patoranking,King Wadada,Pasuma Wonder,Small
Doctor and a host of others
