NOW AFRAID OF LOSING POWER IN 2019

A clear
indication that President Muhammadu Buhari was now afraid of losing power
emerged recently during the clamp down on The Sun Newspapers in Lagos,Nigeria
by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [E.F.C.C.]
It was
previously thought at some point at The News office Desk of Paedia Express in
Lagos ,Nigeria that Chief Orji Uzor Kalu ,a chieftain of the All Progressives
Congress [A.P.C]had been told to back-off on any negative news from his boys at
The Sun and The New Telegraph Newspapers in Lagos,Nigeria if he wanted to be
politically relevant and even starve-off the likelihood of marking out sometime
in jail.
However
,when his boys at The Sun Newspapers in Lagos,Nigeria saw an ambitious copy on
Paedia Express Multimedia in which it was said via a world exclusive that the
general elections may not hold in 2019 due to the success of the sit-at-home
order by The Republic of Biafran agitators ,they found this piece of news very interesting
and then they decided to do a follow up on a report affecting their major sales
and marketing catchment area.
This it
would appear did not go down well with the present regime in the light of hot
exchanges that took place over the report as Arewa Youths acting under the
platform of several Northern related N.G.Os asked Igbos to leave their domain
as soon as possible with tempers and emotions running very high and wild on
both sides of the River Niger even as at press time.
Investigations
by The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group via a copy of the Sun Newspapers published on the
13th of June,2017 ,which is now in its library ,showed that the E.F.C.C. really
had no justification to have closed it at all.
According
to The Sun Newspapers ,about 10 years ago,the E.F.C.C. had obtained an interim forfeiture
order in respect to some of the assets of The Sun Newspapers, attached to a suit against its
publisher ,Chief Orji Uzor Kalu for which an appeal had been filed and was now
pending in court.
The brand
also recalled that the Acting Chairman of the E.F.C.C,Mr Ibrahim Magu in a
letter to them and which he personally signed and dated 23rd of May,2017 and received
on the 7th of June,2017 had asked The Sun Newspapers management to report to
the commission on 5th of June,2017 detailing its operations in the last 10
years on account of an interim order of forfeiture under appeal.
The
Sun:"as a law abiding corporate citizen ,our lawyer,Chief Chris
Uche,SAN,wrote the commission to intimate the agency of the fact that
the issue was pending before the court of appeal and the receipt of our
correspondence was duly acknowledged "
"we
were therefore shocked that our premises would be invaded by the commission
under whatever guise and this is condemnable and reprehensible "
Officials
of the E.F.C.C. during its hour long raid on The Sun Newspapers premises
were said to have accused the brand of
publishing Pro-Biafran reports ,Boko Haram and Niger Delta Militant reports .
Though the
brand wrote a negative report against the wife of the E.F.C.C. boss recently in
which ,Mr Magu had threatened to go to court over a report about a property
traced to his wife but as at press time the media firm disclosed that they were
yet to get a court summon .
In a
related issue,a source who is of Igbo extraction said that he was sure that the
government will get its loyalists to encourage people to vote and that during
the 2019 polls he was sure that a state of emergency will be declared in the
South Eastern parts such that a lot of soldiers will be around to instill law
and order and then voting will take place with results being then declared by the
Independent National Electoral Commission
