The Kambole people of Togo trace their ancestral lineage to Ile-Ife in Osun state of Nigeria
A tiny tribal group
said to be about hours of walk on foot from the Ghanaian border into Togo are
strongly linked to the Yoruba Nation in the South Western parts of Nigeria with
roots traceable to ILetofe ,fondly called Ile -Ife now in Modern day ,Osun
State.
An impeccable source
who himself is a Yoruba man ,Mr Folayan Adebayo while speaking at The News
office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria during a recent
visit or courtesy call said that he came to the conclusion that the Kambole
group were indeed Oduduwa's children because of several socio-cultural similarities .
Though he listed
about three locations that he spotted as major towns of the Kambole people but
none seems to ring a bell in the mold of Sansaane Mango or Lome both in Togo
Republic
