LIONS CLUB IS 100 YEARS WORLDWIDE

Lions Club throughout  the entire globe is currently agog and the reasons are not far- fetched ,it is celebrating  its 100 years of services done to humanity via charity.

In a fact sheet  given to The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in Lagos,Nigeria ,it was discovered that in the current year just about ending in the Lions Calendar ,the Club's District 404 B2Nigeria  has being reeling out its achievement in the out- going Lionistic Year ..

The club through its traffic officers booth donated a legacy centennial project to Maryland environment to mark its 100 years of service.

The District Governor ,Lion Taiwo Adewunmi apart from plating a tree to help to protect the environment also commissioned a block of 16 toilets and bathrooms as part of its legacy project in Lagos Mainland Lions Club ,Paedia Express now understands at this time.

Lions Club also declared that it commissioned and also donated to Saint Savior Primary School in Ijoko area of Lagos state a bore hole and water tank.

The Club also donated two blocks of class rooms and a library to Ado Grammar School in the out- going year,2016 /2017 Lionistic Year of service and this also aside from the donations of essential items it made to the inmates of Ikoyi Prisons as it marks its 100 years of services to mankind.

In his brief comments ,Lion Taiwo Adewunmi lamented that it was a serious pity that in about 50 years of its existence in Nigeria the club has not being able to grow its membership to the expected level just yet.

At the Ifako Ijaiye Lions Club on the 18th of June,2017, hand- over ceremony was  performed at the Offshorz Hotels in Agege area of Lagos,Nigeria of the newly elected executives and their immediate predecessors with Lion Waheed Ashiru handling over the baton of office to Lion Muritala Bello in what was the 12th General Meeting of the body for the year..

At the meeting proper , the Lions Club tradition and ethics were duly respected but the high point of the meeting was the decision by its club members to move into after acquiring a new club secretariat for convenience  and administrative purposes.

The list of the Lions Club Board of Directors for 2017/2018 was later released to this reporter with committees like project, installation, convention, membership and welfare, constitution and Bye laws, club awards, publicity committees amongst others .
