ASSASSINS WATCH OVER N250 MILLION C.B.N LOAN SITUATION

ASSASSINS WATCH OVER N250 MILLION C.B.N LOAN SITUATION
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU…..

NIGERIAN FARMERS BASED IN LAGOS ARE SAID TO HAVE EMPLOYED THE SERVICES OF ASSASSINS TO ENABLE THEM COLLECT THEIR LOANS AS PROMISED BY STATUTORY AGENCIES
Except concerted efforts are made by The Nigerian Presidency to stem the tide of possible revolt amongst members of the public who are now feeling very short changed  over the continued refusal and delay by statutory agencies to disburse the N250 Million Central Bank Of Nigeria credit support to farmers in Lagos state, then some of the officials responsible for the disbursement of the controversial loan are now said to be at a serious risk to their lives if feelers are to be taken seriously.
Recently at a highly charged meeting of members of the Agro –Allied  Commodities and Services Nigeria  Limited in Ikeja,Lagos,Nigeria tempers rose amongst members and officials over the showdy way the entire loan disbursement had being handled.
An official who will not wish to be named in print or on the web by the press lamented that she was now being tailed around town by assassins because of the general believe that officials in Lagos were deliberately seating on the cash for dubious reasons as the same was been disbursed nationwide.
A source who spoke to this reporter on the highly charged matter among farmers in Lagos,Nigeria presently said  that a lot of insults had already being heaped on her already by impatient farmers over the non-payment of the loans as agreed by the statutory agencies .
Another source while explaining the modus operandi behind the allotment of loans by financial institutions insisted that  farmers should always eschew  corruption in their way if they want to unlock the opportunities available to them.
A source speaks:”instead of losing out,we intend to talk to the Bank of Agriculture as we have  taken the money from the hands of the C.I.T Micro finance Bank Limited’
‘As far as I know it is not a scam as there indications that some other states are already paying their loans and I intend to see this to its logical conclusions”
“I want us to know that for those of us that have taken the pains to come here ,I  can assure you that they will not go empty handed”
“we are even looking at how to empower our members beyond the C.B.N loan situation,if at the end of the year we are able to  raise a sizeable amount then we can  say that  we have made a success of our venture”
“we will move around to take  a look at  various  enterprise  to inspect them and see how they have progressed before we know  whether to bring them to the arrangement or not”
However ,there was an argument over which bank should disburse the cash as some of the people  wanted the Police Micro Finance Bank   to give out the cash  while others wanted Bank of agriculture to give out the loans on behalf of the apex bank to the farmers  but eventually all the members present at the meeting held at a location somewhere in Ikeja,Lagos,Nigeria  with this reporter invited for exclusive coverage agreed that a development bank  should disburse the cash to the waiting  farmers.
An impeccable source also noted that there was a window of opportunity for businesses at the Jubilee Life Micro Finance Bank Limited ,with the group accepting to pay the bank a visit soon.
At another meeting  held on Tuesday,22nd of March,2016,tension  rose again among the farmers on the loan matter as accusations and counter accusations missile flew in the room which was used as venue for the meeting as the issue of the non –payment by the Central Bank of Nigeria of the Lagos state farmer’s loan continues to gather a lot of storm.
It was gathered that while one of the farmers stated that she was now being tailed by assassins around the Lagos metropolis ,another  one retorted in an outburst that the woman in question was actually very lucky  that her home was not known to them otherwise they would have actually toyed with the idea of eliminating her.
A woman was also observed by this reporter to have left her hospital bed in stitches to register her protest at the continued delays in disbursing the  “manna from heaven “while a farmer was heard saying that he will have a long day explaining to his wife over the money he borrowed him to facilitate the loan as she too actually borrowed the money from another source that was now on their neck.
