SCOUTS ESCAPE MOB ATTACK IN MOWE

The war over who gets what and who is in control of the Nigerian Scout Federation nearly got bloody recently.

In an exclusive chat with The News Office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia ,one of the chieftains of the two warring factions within the scout family told this reporter in  his house in Lagos ,Nigeria that they were now in a case of no retreat ,no surrender.

He revealed exclusively to Paedia Express Multimedia that they had gone for a training exercise at a private estate in Aberen around the Mowe and Ofada axis and discovered to their chagrin that there was actually a group of saboteurs that had been sent to disrupt their activities by  their direct rivals in the family.

In a press release,a copy of which was made available to the News Office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia upon demand ,It was discovered that the Nigerian Scouts Federation had being literarily set ablaze since 2010 and this resulted into thousands of youths losing the chances of global exposure ,sustained and qualitative adult supervised training in many parts of Nigeria in the last few years.

It was gathered that certain individuals  like Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Rufai,Chief Soga Shofolahan,Chief Solomon Adewuyi Kushimo,Mr James Oyelami,Mr Abdullahi Simple ,Mr O.H.B. Azuzu,Isreal Idowu Esau and Dr Gabriel Aletor.

It was observed that before  2007,the image of scouting in Nigeria was as good as dead as it was believed to be 20 years  behind others in the scouting realm.

Paedia Express Multimedia was reliably informed that it was the centenary  fiesta and the global scout jamboree that helped to shore up the image of scouting in Nigeria.

Once upon a time  in 2007,some dubious scout chieftains in Nigeria falsely wrote to the United Kingdom Embassy that some carefully selected scouts numbering about 120 were all fake.

They were subjected to a thorough screening by embassy officials and were said to have passed excellently.

A faction belonging to Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Rufai is believed to have hatched another plan in 2010 during the elections of the leadership of the movement and since then  there has being no peace at all.

He noted with joy that they were able to hold 2 sets of training in which they got 47 trainees and 27 respectively as against that of their rivals who had 58 and 32 trainees respectively thus  suggesting that they were respected  and accepted by those that matter in the system.

According to him,Former Governor of Lagos state,Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola while in office made couple of attempts at reconciling the two warring factions but this did not work out because the battle line was  long drawn  between the duo.

He accused their rival of parading officials lacking in integrity and predicted that even within the Lagos Scout family he was sure that they will soon have two different councils.
