PAEDIA EXPRESS WRITES EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT:ABDEL
FATTAH AL SISI OVER THE JOURNALIST:MAHMOUD HUSSEIN
GENERAL ABDEL-FATTAH AL SISI
THE PRESIDENT,
UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT,
HELIOPOLIS PALACE,CAIRO,EGYPT
12/01/2018
Your Excellency,
We are constrained by the difficult but sorry plight of the
Al Jazeera correspondent ,Mahmoud Hussein and so we have had to write your
office to reconsider your initial position on him on health grounds.
During a recent television interview on Al Jazeera
Television ,the daughter disclosed of her father's failing mental health as a
result of his been held under very strenuous state laws in an Egyptian prison.
Our Company,E.N.MPaedia Express Multimedia Group of
Lagos,Nigeria and E.N.M.Paedia Express Trust were not on ground in Cairo,Egypt at the Tahrir square while
the Arab spring was on and hence we will not be able to speak from
the position of an authority save for
Third party reports but we plead with you sir, that if there are no incontrovertible evidence beyond
mere speculations then Mr Hussein ,Mahmoud should be allowed to go home and
meet his family in peace and not in pieces.
In the mean time ,Mr Hussein ,should be allowed full access
to excellent medical care so as to be in the right frame of mind and possibly
resume back with his employers previously before now:Al Jazeera.
The hallmark of every great piece of democracy is its
ability at being able to work with the press whether independent or
mainstream and we do think that Egypt
being one of the cradles of human civilisation should not be seen to be lacking
in this area otherwise it will become a laughing stock.
We pray and do hope that Mr Mahmoud Hussein will no longer
have to suffer beyond this as his sufferings are inhumane .
Thanks,
Yours Faithfully,
Abdulmumini Adeku,
Editor-in-chief,
