Except a miracle happens ,The ruling conservative Party in the United Kingdom is expected to lose at least half of its branch in the 2018 local elections if feelers are anything to go by.
Lord Hayward in a chat with The London Standard Newspapers said he expects Bernet,Kingston,Wandsworth and Westminster to fall out of the Tories grip at the polls.
Across England,May local elections should go on ahead in 32 London Boroughs,74 district borough councils and 17 military authorities
Mrs Theresa May 'sTory are depending on at least 1,302 seats which it intends to defend and also control 41 councils while Mr Corbyn 'sLabour won 2,0062 seats and 78 councils last time.
There are also mayoral races in Hackney,Lewisham,Tower Hamlets and Watford.
In a recent new year interview ,Mr Jeremy Corbyn is said to have spoken of his regrets at not securing majority seats for his Labour Party at the General elections but was now cocksure he will use the new chance to nail the o opposition
In a related issue,an impeccable source had disclosed to this reporter exclusively that the Conservative Party may actually be playing out for a new leader while at the same time pretending to the whole world that it was doing okay.
The source explained that the likely game plan for the Tories presently was to hold out and gamble on Mrs May till such a time that they can find a replacement within the party in the next 3to 6 months as it has become clearer that the people of the United Kingdom did not want her in office as Prime Minister.
The source pointed out that for a lot of Britons, anyone the Tories choose as a Leader will do as so long as he was not Boris Johnson due to the latter's role over the Brexit affair.
The source speaks:"we are going through an unnecessarily messy situation ,The Irish border issue is still hanging in there and it has not yet being fully resolved"
"even the coalition with the D.U.P of Northern Ireland is facing its own problems"
Analysts now think it was just a question of time before new elections are called to select an acceptable British Prime Minister
