SHOCKING:DAILY TRUST NEWSPAPERS REJECTS OWN I.D.P GIFTS
DIRECT ORAL NARRATIVE PROVIDED BY MR ABDULMUMINI ADEKU,
THE HATE VICTIM
I decided to start investigations on The Daily Trust
Newspapers Internally Displaced Persons project on the 4th of July,2017 due to
the repulsive behavior of its General Manager ,Lagos office.
Before then i had made about 8 phone calls ,visited the
Lagos office physically at least four times ,had sent series of emails and had
sent an official letter based on the suggestions of the company's Associate
Director,Business Development and Strategies ,Alhaji Aliu Akoshile.
i was disappointed that after about two weeks or thereabout
i could not make my donations in kind like i wanted to do to the company
through the firm's Administrative secretary..
The Administrative Secretary had told me that since i was
not donating direct raw cash but in kind that they will like to make it a media
event but even at that she was herself surprised that after two weeks the firm
had not gotten in touch with me.
So when i got to her office on the 4th of July,2017,she
asked me to wait while she goes to tell her General Manager ,who upon been told
of my presence at the firms office said he was in a meeting and asked that i
should be asked to wait for him for the
completion of the said meeting so that he can receive me officially in his
capacity on behalf of the entire group .
After waiting for ages in what may have being up to one
hour,i raised an alarm on the matter and the Administrative Secretary went her
bosses office to check him up only to discover that the man had left his office
to an unknown destination
so i pleaded with her to put a phone call through to his
boss's mobile phone number to ask him whether i should wait for him in the
office or better still the appointment should be re-scheduled but the
Administrative Secretary told me that i should not bother with that at all as
it will amount to time wasting ,well if i felt that she was not telling the
truth what has happened has showed how prophetic she was on the matter.
So i left but told her that i will be contacting the Abuja
office of the Daily Trust Newspapers to follow up on the matter.
My donation was valued at N5,000 when the drugs that i was
to give to the I.D.PS were initially brought in November,2016 ,but under the
current recessionary trends it can be twice or thrice the amount in raw cash.
