In a related situation ,nations like Uruguay ,Brazil,Russia and Sweden were each given huge sums of $16million for hitting the Quarter Final stages of the championship.

The three Lions of England made her majesty 's purse swell by $22 million for finishing 4t while Belgium reported to its King with $24million .

unheralded Croatia who finished runners -up  and thus became the smallest nation in the world to achieve such a mileage in terms of public relations got a huge cache of $28million dollars..
