2019:CHRIS OKOTIE TO RUN FOR NIGERIA'S PRESIDENCY AGAIN

Highly cerebral lawyer ,musician and christain clergy:Reverend Chris Okotie ,Senior Pastor at The Household of Gods Church International Ministries in Oregun,Lagos,Nigeria has fired a salvo again and this time he is not just thinking of contesting for The Presidency of the nation in 2019 but he wants the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C]and the Peoples Democratic Party[P.D.P] both to adopt him as a consensus candidate  at the polls.

In a press release handed over to The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,the clergy who had ran unsuccessfully for the highest role or office in the land on about 2 or 3 occasions insisted that if every anyone claimed that they love Nigeria now  this was the time to demonstrate such love and commitment by refusing to be selfish .

He explained that as the Nigerian nation approach another election cycle ,the prognosis for the likelihood of a national crisis conveys a reality of frightening proportions .

He noted that presently the nation is confronted with existential threats that seeks to engender the fragmentation and disintegration of the nation as a holistic entity .

He lamented the fact that Nigeria as a nation had become a divided and segregated society like never before due to such ills like ethnicity,religious fundamentalism ,political insensitivity and leadership disability.

The clergy pointed out that the advent of the Boko Haram insurgents and Fulani Herdsmen phenomenon have thrown the nation into a crisis situation thus rendering the WAZOBIA alliance useless.

His words:"There were incessant wars between Rome and Carthage in those days and in one of such military campaigns the Roman General Regulus was captured and taken to Carthage"

"He was brought before the ruling council and promised liberty if he would return to Rome and persuade the Romans to enter into a peace treaty with Carthage"

"The people of Carthage were war weary and had envisaged that this strategy would provide a tactical leverage to negotiate a ceasefire with Rome ,however ,there was a proviso that if General Regulus was unable to do so then he was to return to Carthage to face public execution and to this the General agreed and was set free based on the integrity of his words as a Roman"

"General Regulus returned to Rome and passionately appealed to the Roman Senate not to make peace with Carthage ,he posited that Rome could never achieve true greatness as long as Carthage existed as a formidable adversary   and the Roman Senate agreed with him as General Regulus left the senate,went home to meet with his wife ,kissed her and his little baby bye and returned to Carthage"

"He did not need or have to go back to Carthage but he was propelled by the irresistible summons of honour and integrity as a Roman General ,he was publicly executed in Carthage in a most horrendous manner"

"it was not the potent Roman sword called Machira that gave Rome the universal supremacy rather it was the courage and patriotic seal of men like General Regulus that inspired Rome to the apogee of universal greatness ,destiny summons us today to the same pedestal of patriotic sacrifice"

"compelled by the same spirit i have re-emerged from my political hibernation to contest for the office of The President in the forthcoming polls ,i am fully persuaded that Nigeria needs a man who is credible ,dependable and trust worthy "

Okotie affirmed that he was eminently   more than qualified to be Nigeria's President in that he has a deep well of compassion, can invoke  a Pan Nigerian philosophy of malice towards none and charity for all.

Okotie stated unambiguously that the nation was ripe for the process of restructuring in that its federalism was now a realistic piece of fakery.

He added that his current political mandate was targeted at setting up an interim government  which he dubs as the Government of National Reconciliation .

He revealed that he will be moving quickly to help set up a political system he calls ,Aboriginal democracy which will help to focus on cultural historicity ,evolutional modernity and global relativity as the vital ingredients of the nation's political indigenization..
