ECUADOR:CHIMBORAZO IS AT THE CENTER OF THE ENTIRE WORLD

You may have heard it being said  that Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world and it is to be found at the centre of the entire planet.

well while the former is true,the fact  remains that Mount Chimborazo and not Everest is at The centre of the planet.

The News office Desk of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria now hears that little known but extinct  volcano in Ecuador is the Centre of the planet.

In a literary masterpiece authored by Tess Burrows ,it was discovered in the prologue pages of the 251 paged book on Climbing Tibet that though  the Mountain was only 6,310 metres about 20,703 feet above sea level ,it was actually 2,150 metres  further away from the centre of the Earth than Everest is .

The earth is not round in shape but it's an oblate spheroid ,in other words it is bulgy at the equator and flattened at the poles.

A learned geographer calls  this Earth's phenomena :The Pizza effect with the spinning on her axis causing a sort of lesser holding on to gravity at the equator than there is at the poles.

It is a thing that scientists used to call Centrifugal force in physics.

The road to Chimborazo lies due south from Quito along the Pan American Highway thus following the central valley of the Andes ,The Avenue of the volcanoes .

Chimborazo must be one of the easiest mountains of the world where you can easily get to its foot base .

As at 1988 the volcano had not erupted in well over 10,000 years .

Tess Burrow said that the guide book had told her that initially the direct route heads straight up the Thielmann glacier and it meets the normal route where it leaves El Corredor .

The ancient Inca name for Chimborazo was watch tower of the entire universe.
