ATTENTION SUPREME COURT:EKITI POLLS IN 2018 ,MATTERS ARISING GOING FORWARD!!!
To the best of our knowledge at The Editorial and Policy Board of the E.N.M. Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,for an election to be said to have conformed with at least  a minimum standard of democratic tenets globally it must be in tandem with that nation's electoral laws and we beg to be corrected.
In all of our collective but living memory a  nation except if we tell lies   we cannot recall  when this  simple rule was ever obeyed as usually the Federal Electoral Commission [F.E.D.E.CO.] of 1979 and 1983,The National Electoral Commision [N.E.C]in collusion with state actors ,politicians ,paid thugs, the generally blind and gluttonous Nigerians combine forces wickedly to rip the society of true democratic ideals.
Even in June 12,1993 when the so called fairest and widely acclaimed peaceful polls that got Chief Moshood Abiola his mandate which later earned him a place among the immortals ,there was still some level of rigging.
The system however looked the other way because it would appear that the eventual outcome seems to have suited  them anyway.
Since 1999,every polls over turned by the law courts in Nigeria with a view to a fresh  poll has always led to another round of rigging and riotous situation so much so that in the end the  real benefits of true democracy is lost..
On behalf of The Editorial and Policy Board of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,we hereby make the following suggestions to The Supreme Courts of Justice of Nigeria
1]That any Nigerian politician caught or involved either directly or indirectly with rigging of elections be disqualified from future participation and made to face the full wrath of the law with jail terms  accruable if found guilty, alongside their accomplice..
2]That politicians involved in the art and science of sponsoring thuggery  ,assassinations ,organized banditry and other forms of riotous situation be disqualified from future participation..
3]That starting from the Ekiti governorship polls for 2018,judicial pronouncements should be to the benefits of any politician who played by the rules i.e. did not involve  himself or herself in thuggery ,did not bribe voters and was not in any way connected to stealing and the illegal stuffing of ballot boxes in the dark in what we commonly now known as rigging. This we do believe will help to firm up a culture of excellence and transparency in the short, medium and long term.
4]That starting from june ,2019 ,the judiciary arm of governance in the land should encourage The Presidency and the legislature to take a honest step at deepening our democratic credentials by promoting an Act of Parliament or legislation that will compel The Independent National Electoral Commisson[I.N.E.C]to be truly independent.
we do believe that this alongside such laudable projects like The Nigerian Air,Honour Done to M.K.O.Abiola amongst others will be a great legacy that President Muhammadu Buhari or whoever is in power at the time will be remembered for ,even long after he or she has departed the public realm
