The governor described the service as significant because of the fallen heroes contributions towards  the overall peace enjoyed by all citizens and the corporate peaceful coexistence of the Nation.
According to the governor, if not for the sacrifices  and the love for father land demonstrated at the all times by the fallen heroes and members of the armed forces still serving, Nigeria and Nigerians would not be here today, they fought gallantry for the sake of the nation.
