News Office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in Lagos,Nigeria of Reddington Hospital
in Lagos being sued by one of its patients over what the latter termed “deliberate
extortion”
The source told this reporter that the patient who was
suffering from an undisclosed ailment had been recommended to him at Our Friend
Hospital also in Lagos,Nigeria for a poorly diagnosed and treated medical
situation previously at high Street brand:Reddington Hospital .
The medical doctor told this reporter that the patient had coughed out well over N4million to officials
of Reddington Hospital without any solution to his health problems but quickly
added that they treated the same condition with positive results for just
N30,000 within a relatively shorter period.
The source explained that it was on the strength of this
singular incident that made the patient to sue Reddington Hospital in annoyance
without even any form of consultations on the matter.
According to the source, the patient was heavily charged
financially because he worked at Chevron Petroleum in Lagos,Nigeria hence seen
as very affluent.
Recently, this reporter was informed by several sources that
private hospitals have a habit of asking pregnant women who ordinarily should have
delivered freely and safely at Maternity and government medical facilities to
pay through their noses so as to raise their revenue profiles.

Lagos,Nigeria also learnt that recently at the General Hospital in Ifako-Ijaiye
,Lagos,Nigeria ,that his treatment of diabetes which was put at a N100,000
after over three months or thereabout of medical attention was put at a million naira when the cost
implications of being treated at a Lagos based private medical facility for
just a week was taken into consideration during analysis.
As at press time, telephone calls made to Reddington
Hospital in Lagos ,Nigeria from the stables of the News office Desk of Paedia
