CENSORSHIP:TECHNOLOGY TO DEFEAT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT 'S TREACHERY AGAINST SOCIAL MEDIA

Reeling from the after- shock of comments made by Governor Ibikunle Amosun ,Nigerians have condemned very roundly and in very strong terms plans by its Federal Government to create an agency to censor the speeches and opinions of the general public ,so that this way anything against their general interests and there paid agents will not be in the public domain.

Checks by The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in Lagos,Nigeria ,shows that the current wave of wizardry by technology based entrepreneurs will defeat   the censorship project even before it takes off.

An impeccable source  who spoke to this reporter frowned very seriously at the likelihood of possible censorship of the social media by the Nigerian leadership but called on the state to use the existing laws and legislation rather than going on a White Elephant mission.

The source explained that the owners of the Facebook trademark will not allow this "madness" as they will lose customers to other rival mediums  like We Chat,We Spy,Telegram ,Text Now just to name but a few who offer ready -made alternatives .

According to the source ,the current level and wave of digital media globally was now so very high that it was even unpredictable to determine whether another brand will not beat Facebook soon due to innovations.

He affirmed that the only reason why people will criticize and use very harsh and unfriendly words against government officials is that they have been left traumatized by their behavior and that was why the only opportunity left for them to ask questions in order to push leadership to change their behaviors and work for a better society.

At least eleven other opinions sampled by this reporter on the very "deadly subject"said The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in Lagos,Nigeria that if the government starts such a dubious scheme they will have no choice than to challenge this as it was anti-social.

They however asked that the government can go to court where they can establish a case of fraud against anyone or group on social media rather than whole sale censorship .

They wondered why the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C]that rode on back of public support on social media in 2015 now wish to kill  the baby that gave back to it when it served their purpose.
