U.K:BUHARI,OBASANJO IN CLOSE DOOR SESSION OVER NATIONAL
SECURITY IN LONDON
BY ABDULMUMNI ADEKU.
IN BETWEEN BUHARI AND HIS FORMER BOSS IS A CHEQUERED HISTORY OF NIGERIA
While it will appear superficially that President Muhammadu
Buhari only received Former President
Olusegun Obasanjo at his Abuja House Residence in London,United Kingdom as the
latter came calling to check up on his health and general welfare with tongues
already wagging on the subject globally ,The News office Desk of Paedia Express
Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria can say authoritatively that top on the agenda at
the recent meeting was the issue of Nigeria's national security now reportedly
at stake.
It would be recalled that this reporter had triggered off
the alarm bell locally and globally when he recently wrote a
save-our-soul letter to The United Nations Security Council in a protest letter
in which he blamed the Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari regimes for the
poor handling of such crisis like Boko Haram,Fulani Herdsmen among several
other situations.
It would be recalled that this reporter had warned of dire
consequences if vital steps were not taken to rid Nigeria of the problems that
had engulfed it without any form of bias.
In all fairness,a lot of water has passed under the bridge
in between that period and now with the Buhari regime believed to have taken
vital steps at correcting any form of anomaly noticed and which this reporter
complained about at the time.
Former President Obasanjo was one of the 22 international
figures that the Editorial and Policy Board of Paedia Express Multimedia Group
in Lagos,Nigeria had written to about the urgent need to handle Nigeria's
National security crisis meticulously.
Just before Obasanjo touched down in the United Kingdom to
see President Buhari,Governor Kashim
Shettima of Bornu state was in the second batch of visitors that visited Buhari
the previous week with analysts believing he will most likely debrief
Buhari, who is Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria of recent
developments and under currents over the Boko Haram affair.
In a related issue,it was also learnt that Ashiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu ,the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress[A.P.C]
supporters were in serious loggerheads with the supporters of the Daura born strong
man as the latter attempts to brow beat Tinubu into supporting him for 2019 now
that analysts believe that he will be leaving public office by then due to his
ill health.
Mrs Aisha Buhari ,First Lady of the nation was also said to
have made an appearance at an event in Owerri ,Imo state as Buhari attempts to
woo more supporters to stay in office beyond 2019 with the clock ticking as at
press time.
