N7.6BILLION:DIEZANI MADE FORTUNES FROM BUNKERING
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU.......
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU.......
Recently ,the powerful Former Nigerian Oil Minister in the
administration of Former President Goodluck Jonathan ,shocked several Nigerians
when she declared that she was innocent of the criminal charges proffered
against her by a Nigerian court ,the general public and the mainstream media.
Her claims to innocence as far as she was concerned and
rightly so was that she never did dip her hands directly into the nation's
vault hence blameless.
Well information now available to The News office Desk of the Paedia Express
Multimedia Group in Lagos,Nigeria as at press time suggests that the woman
actually got her hands dirty as had a lot of likely bunkerers as good friends
during her stewardship as Oil Minister...
An impeccable source who is great friends with this reporter
and also a friend of the Allison Madueke family said that they were sure that
if the woman was taken to court between now and the end of the world no jury
will be able to convict her directly as she did not take any money directly
from Nigeria's treasury.
The source however told this reporter that Mrs Allison
Madueke got a lot of gifts from crooks in the oil and gas sector which made her
to look the other way as organized banditry became the order of the day in the
petroleum industry.
The shocked this
reporter when she insisted that more Nigerian money was being lost to bunkering
than the actual amount that the Nigerian Federal Government declares to the
public...
It would be recalled that recently, a Federal High
Court in Lagos ,Presided by Justice
Abdulaziz Anka asked that Mrs Allison -Madueke be made to permanently forfeit a
sum of N7.6billion linked to the latter.
Justice Anka's order followed on an application by the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [E.F.C.C]]which had seek the final forfeiture
of the amount in question to the Nigerian Federal Government..
A federal High court presided by Justice Chuka Obiozor had
on August 7th ,2017 ordered the temporal forfeiture of the sum of N7.6Billion
allegedly stashed away in banks by the former Nigerian oil Czar to the Nigerian
Federal Government .
A legal source had told this reporter two years ago
that it becomes difficult for a court of
competent jurisdiction to sentence anyone who did not dip his or her hands
directly into the nation's treasury but
worked with proxies or third parties which are usually tagged commonly as
fronts.
Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke is strongly believed to have worked
with several fronts while she was at work as Oil Minister under Goodluck
Jonathan ..
