Except there is a reprieve or respite via the law courts somehow,The People of Ebira Tao in the Midlands in the Central Nigerian State of Kogi are now under a very serious threat of a possible wipe out..

This is because as at press time ,a people with a cultural heritage and continously recorded history dating back to not less than 600 to 700 years are now beng told that they are actually ether foreigners in their own land or at best tenants..

Multiple sources have told The News office Desk of The E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigera ,how a court ruling had declared that the mineral rich Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Complex and its adjoining territories now belonged to the people of   Igala Nation from across the River Niger...

Not done yet ,Ihima ,one of the main ancestral homes of the Ebira Taos aside from the likes of Eganyin,Ebviya,Ogaminana,Nagazi,Obangede,Okaito,Ohuepe,Ageva,Uboro, Adavi,Okengwen,Obehira,Agassa,Adogo ,Isungwen,Paku,Kuroko and its major commercial hub is also on the verge of losing its home land due to this land mark court ruling which could cause a more wider implication.

Okene is known to be the coir of Commerce of Kogi state and generates at least 70 percent of the state's Internally generated revenue and this is aside from the fact that Ajaokuta Iron Ore project will not be less than a trillion pounds in investments aside from several untapped mineral resources in the Midlands.

Again Igala Nation from across the River Niger now say that they have enough legal and historical claims to lay hold on Ihima as being part of their territory..

Exclusive rights into the ensuing drama finger The Fulani ethnic group of carefully weaving this very dangerous booby trap with the collusion of some Ebira natives  who have decided to betray their own brethren for a morsel of bread.

The source who is not Ebira warned this reporter that except if a war is actually fought by Ebira people he did not think that they will get what truly belongs to them .

It is no longer news that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state had promised to give out part of Ebira ancestral lands around the Osara -Itakpe area to The Fulani's under the highly charged Ruga scheme affairs ,but what is big news is that this act of treachery against Ebira Nation   is happening right under the noses of their own son and who ironically is supervising the dismantling of his own people and to think that he is the Governor makes it all more strange..

It is an open secret in Kogi state that Governor Yahaya Bello runs a militia which he uses to run any form of opposition out of town and this reporter was told by multiple sources as far back as 2018 when he visited the state.

Believe it or not ,this is a replay of the age long landed crisis between the state of Israel and Palestine and of course the rich list in which this reporter discharged himself  glowingly to the annoyance of the traditional Nigerian elite.

Analysts think that if this issues are not solved in an unbiased manner ,Ihima people and to a larger extent Ebira Tao nation will be left with no choice than to go into direct hostility with Igala Nation..

This reporter has also heard it being said severally by multiple sources that Governor Yahaya Bello and Nigeria's first lady,Hajia Aisha Buhari were actually class mates and good friends at The Ahmadu Bello University ,Kongo Campus,Zaria ,Kaduna state and that it is this comradeship that has followed the duo into positions of public trust so much so that the latter usually whispers Aso Rock bedroom tunes into the ears of the Kogi state Goevrnor as to how to steer the affairs of the state hence it will not be out of place to say that the politician has been fighting a proxy war for Mister President:Buhari..

Yet another source who spoke on the subject pointed out that the refusal by Ebira Nation to put a paramount ruler in Ajaokuta was exploited by Igala Nation who had been welcomed by their hosts to their own detriment now as the situation now suggests..

The source hinted that a lot of top lawyers from Ebira Nation were now n the matter as at press time with feelers insisting that a landmark documentation from the time of Lord Lugard during the 1914 amalgamation of the North and Southern protectorate actually shows that the Ebiras own the disputed territories...
