INDIAN GURU WINS MATHS COMPETITION IN NIGERIA

THE TURKS HAVE INVESTED IMMENSELY IN NIGERIAN EDUCATION
An Indian girl said to be on holidays in her native country
at the moment by the family, Miss BhadwajIshi became the winner of the
2017 14th edition of the
annual National Mathematics competition held at the impressive looking Imperial
Hall in the busy business district of Alausa,Ikeja,Lagos,Nigeria moments ago.
In his address to the gathering at the event in
Lagos,Nigeria,Mr Orhan Kertim ,Nigerian Tulip International College’s Managing Director said that he was
particularly elated to receive of the previous edition of the competition while
using the forum to harp on the importance of education as being vital to all of
human society.
He agreed with a lot of affirmation that he was aware that all of Nigeria make huge sacrifices to ensure that their
children get good and quality education
and this was why they were also ready to take the issue of mathematics
also seriously as well .
He applauded all the 15 th highly placed finishers in a competition
that involved over 34,000 participants at the beginning saying that they should be proud of their respective achievements for
their schools while noting that the
world should watch out for the talents in the future.
He assured that the organizers of the competition will be
giving full blown scholarships for the top eight finishers who have made it to
the awards aside from several other incentives available to them.
One of the side attractions as the event wore on was the
media presentation that took place with the aid of a slide show by Mr Dogan.
From the 15th position to the second
position of the 14 th edition of the
fiesta each of the winners ,names of
their schools and state domiciled were called out by the organizers for special
recognition by the audience as they were given their merit certificate ,medals
and plaques to match to the delight of the crowd at the epoch making event
which had the crème de la crème of the educational sector in attendance.
The Gauss Award winner of the 14th Annual
National Mathematics fiesta for Zone A was won by the N.L.N.G. School from
Bonny in Rivers state of Nigeria .
A Turkish citizen by name ,Mr Aksu displayed displayed his
deep understanding of the socio-cultural life of Nigerians when he sang and
basked in Olamide’s ‘Mello-Mello’to the
delight of the crowd as if he was the
original owner of the trademark.
The eventual winner and the first position went to Bhadwaj
Ishi of the Indian Language School in Lagos,Nigeria as she won with a score of
97.56 percent.
The 2017 Kharazmi award was won by the N.L.N.G. Schhol in
Bonny ,Rivers state of Nigeria.
According to the organisers of the event,the competition was
now being done in partnership with the state universal basic education boards
in Lagos,Ogun,Oyo and Osun states.
During the fiesta proper,the nation was always divided into
the geo-political zones of the nation with specific NTIC centers taking charge
of each of the zones
