In a deep undercover investigations by the news office desk of Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria over the continuous crisis in the creeks ,an impeccable source and a member of the very deadly Vikings Cult at the University of Port Harcourt,Rivers state in the past told this reporter that the politician was actually the power behind the throne in the creeks for a very long time before he was mandated to take over a s Governor by the then ruling party,the Peoples Democratic Party[P.D.P] The source revealed exclusively to this reporter that the trio of Governor Nyesom Wike,Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and Former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan were all student cultists belonging to the Vikings group during their university days. The source blamed the repeated tension in the state to an unending air of rivalry or supremacy carried over from campus cultism. His words:”in the Vikings,no matter how rich you later become in life ,you have to respect your seniors otherwise there will be a problem” “This is why you will see a man who has a jeep and is well dressed in a corporate suit kneel before a badly dressed fellow when they meet informally in the public” “This is why Vikings differ from the likes of Buccaneer,it was Wike that admitted and administered the oath of initiation on Rotimi Amaeachi during their student days” “Wike was the Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area for 8 years and he also doubled as the Chairman of all the local government Areas nationwide at the time,do not forget that his local government area is the richest in Nigeria hence he is not a small fry politically” “it was Wike that wrote all the scripts that led to the removal of Celestine Omehia from office,ironically Omehia is Amaechi’s cousin,all those thrash you heard about the judicial judgment that gave Amaechi power was the story that you were all told but that was not what was really on ground” “Wike was the man dispatched by Jonathan to settle the rift between the Former first lady ,Patience Jonathan and Amaechi when the duo had a clash of interests” The authoritative source explained that in all fairness ,there was nothing like an election in Port Harcourt and its environs during the 2015 elections as figures were freely allotted since the people felt that their son must be kept in Aso Rock at all cost but quickly added though the rerun elections to take place may be close but that Wike Should be able to win narrowly. The source himself a Niger Deltan militant affirmed that if the plans of the current Abuja leadership is to declare Dr Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress [A.P.C]as the winner in the forthcoming rerun elections ,then this could be counterproductive in the long term. He pointed out that for a every mobile phone owned by a Port Harcourt resident ,there was a gun stashed somewhere and that he and other militant leaders were waiting for the elections with keen interest. He continues:”I was collecting a sum of N45,000 monthly for doing nothing and I had friends who were collecting as much as N100,000 monthly at the time ,I was paid for at least two years and you know what that means if summed up together” “Wike is so powerful that even as an appointed Minister he was able to keep Port Harcourt residents at home for 72 hours during his face-off with Amaechi as the latter reigned as Governor then” The source went down memory lane and recalled that the trouble between the duo started when Amaechi refused Wike a senatorial ticket as the latter was at Some point the Chief of Staff to Amaechi as Governor of Rivers state. The source while trying to point out where the crisis started from in the creeks before the 2015 general elections ,also noted that the decision by Amaechi to clear the water front in the creeks also made the Jonathans to disagree with him. The source added that a lot of Nigerians were unaware of this development on cultism in Rivers Politics but quickly added that for sure the three aforementioned politicians have cult antecedents and this he know very well as he went to the same school and know their story very well. It was learnt that a lot of re-alignment was currently going on among the militants in the creeks over the recent development in their polity. The Buccaneers (aka Sealords) was soon followed by the Vikings confraternity. So came the 3 Sailors whose aims and objectives were almost the same, whose major difference have remained their 'modus operandi' and their choice of camouflage and logo. While the Sea Dogs took red as their color, the Buccaneers and the Vikings chose yellow and black respectively. Admission of new members into the Sea dogs was highly restricted at inception, the same became of the Buccaneers and the Vikings. As a result of this, students who wanted to 'belöng' but denied started gathering and in most cases ended up with a group of their own. As the group continued to split their aims and objectives metamorphosized from engaging in humanitarian services to cannibalistic services. Some of the cult group that later developed after the monopolistic tendency of the Sailors include: , Eiye, Mafia, Maphite, Klansman Confraternity, Black Beret, Black Bra, Mgba Mgba, Thomas Sankara Boys, Jurist, Black cats, etc. But one thing that is common among them all is that they have all lost the vision and mission of the founding fathers and have all degenerated to unnecessary rivalry and violence amongst themselves leading to unnecessary carnage and hair- splitting bloodshed in higher institutions.
