The cold political rivalry between Governor Emeritus of
Lagos state,Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his successor, Barrister Babatunde
Raji Fashola is still on as at press time.
In an exclusive investigation by the News office Desk of Paedia
Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria ,an impeccable source who is in the full
knowledge of issues relating to the duo insists that the matter was very
serious and should be a course of concern for stakeholders in the polity.
The source explained that matters came to a head recently in
October,2015 between the duo at an event marking a National Awards on
Productivity which was given to Chief Obajimi ,a former Permanent Secretary in
Lagos state.
The source told this reporter
that during the event which she attended ,it took a great level of maturity and
perseverance on the path of Former Governor Fashola and his supporters to
prevent a full scale physical brawl as the animosity and the hostile environment
was clearly evident .
She lamented the humiliation meted out to Fashola at the
event saying that the technocrat turned politician was not even allowed to seat
on the same high table with Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by supporters of the All Progressives Congress
National Leader thus leading to the newly sworn in Federal Minister having to
seat differently in a separate position away from the high table at the event.
The source while handling an invite to Paedia express on the
recently held 80th birthday and book launch of Alhaji [Chief]F.Ola Oyewewo wondered aloud whether Tinubu and Fashola if
they show up at the event will not cause another scene.
The source added the she was shocked to the marrow at the
level of open hatred showed Fashola by the Tinubu camp and quickly added that
she was aware that the crisis emanated from the bad blood generated in the past
over Fashola and ambode political affair and rivalry..
Recently,another impeccable source had gone into the nitty
gritty to reveal how Late Senator Shitta Bey had given his slot in 1999 to
Ashiwaju bola ahmed tinubu and the latter returned returned the favor by
picking Fashola who was Shitta Bey’s man.
The source had told this reporter that it was part of the
compensatory package that saw the likes of Hakeem and Femi Gbajabiamila rise to
Lagos and national prominence in politics.
The source added that the families of Shitta Bey,Gbajabiamila
and Fashola were close to each other in their
Surulere,Lagos abode
