the recent declaration by the Nigerian military high command in which
it had declared the Independent Peoples of Biafran Republic [I.P.O.B]as a terrorist group will only make them go
underground.
In a world exclusive investigations by The News office Desk
of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in
Lagos,Nigeria,an impeccable source had wondered why the Federal government has
abandoned the pathway to dialogue rather than an open air military crusade.
The source said that since Biafran agitators had started
their mission peacefully and were being resisted by Federal might ,the current
trend will only make I.P.O.B go underground and even become more deadly in
their agitations.
He urged the Federal government to use a softer approach on
the matter so as not to allow it to degenerate into a full scale arms struggle.
As at press time,a son of retired Nigerian Army Signal
officer of Biafran extraction had told this reporter of how a culture of ethnic cleansing was
instituted by the Nigerian Army during the civil war with people of igbo
extractions who were not even aware of what led to the war arrested on trumped
up charges and summarily executed on the
orders of the then General Yakubu Gowon,The then military Head of State.
The source also revealed that between 300 to 500 soldiers of
Igbo extraction who did not know anything about the 1966 military coup d'etat
were arrested ,tried and executed secretly on the orders of the military
leadership at the time.
He affirmed that due to the above reasons and so many others ,the hatred against
the Nigerian nation runs deep in the muscles and spines of the igbos.
In a related issue,Igbo commentators spotted in several
areas in Lagos, Nigeria as at press time have accused the Nigerian Army of a
bias in that it branded I.P.O.B a terrorist group while they allow Fulani
Janjaweed group to continue to kill people in their farms nationwide.
But analysts disagree very strongly on this as while I.P.O.B
was a known body known to the Nigerian law ,the popular Fulani herdsmen who
have been killing a lot of Nigerian farmers are different from the peaceful
Miyetti Alllah Cattle Breeding body and so it is difficult to tag a group whose
structural identities are not known to the laws of the land in the name of
fairness.
A lot of arms were recently spotted and rightly apprehended
by the Nigerian security agencies leading to speculations in several quarters
that perhaps the era of a serious arms struggle or conflict was about to begin
in the land anytime from now on in the South Eastern region of the nation.
In a related issue,at exactly 9:30 P.M. on the 16th of
September,2017,angry igbo youths and men had confronted this reporter on his
way home insisting that it was now very clear to them that the Nigerian Federal
Government and its people did not want any form of peace and that they have now
declared a war on Nigeria.
