TRIBUTE:IMMORTAL MUGABE IN THE EYES OF HISTORY

TRIBUTE:IMMORTAL MUGABE IN THE EYEOF HISTORY
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
On behalf of my humble self and The advisory board and management of the globally renowned E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group ,we hereby pay our own respect to a very great African ,The Late Dr Robert Mugabe ,the deceased and the immediate President of Zimbabwe.
His was a life spent entirely to the course of public service and humanity ,so much has being written about him  with several of these narratives slanted to a direction so as to paint him as an irritant and a beast while refusing to give him any kind of credit  for his many years of toiling with his comrades fighting the bush wars and of course the historic Lancaster Agreement.
It is instructive to note that without the pioneering efforts of Dr Robert Mugabe.Joshua Nkomo,Ndibanigi Sithole and several other comrades too numerous to be listed ,the white man could have succeeded in keeping Rhodesia as it was then called perpetually in slavery.
This days it serves the needs of the imperialists and its biased media to attack Mugabe over the contentious land dispute .
Now can anybody with a mind of God and sanity ask the White man why they reneged on previously held discussions and agreements on the ancient  but fertile lands of Zimbabwe.
Why were they not ready to pay out any form of compensation on the rich arable land on Zimbabwe, the press especially abroad finds it easy to torment Mugabe over this but do not ask their leadership in Europe or in the America’s  why they betrayed Mugabe and his comrades.
It could be said by any curious observer that Mugabe was a good man until the forceful seizure of the lands  from the whites ,this in itself is hypocritical as he had committed several atrocities before the land seizures but the white man did not care about his conducts in office so long as it does not affect their hold on Harare’s  resources.
Because of Mugabe’s sweeping reforms that led to the seizures of the disputed lands ,sanctions were heaped on Harare but it was the man on the streets that suffered the effects as the thieving Mugabe stole his nation blind.
It is instructive to note that feelers suggesting Mugabe as been bitter to the end of his life were only stating the obvious as he was sad that the people who threw him out of office were the same people who had sat with him previously to take decisions on the affairs and future of Zimbabwe and saw his ouster not just as a coup d’etat but a total betrayal.
If the white man had kept to his promises during the Lancaster pact to the latter ,there would have being know need for land seizures and if there was no land grabbing  then there will be no forms of sanctions on Harare .
If there was no sanctions then there will be no public riots and protests ,if there were no protests and riots then there will be no death over trying to unseat Mugabe from power under whatever guise.
It was wrong for Mugabe under whatever promptings to have killed, maimed or arrested opponents for political reasons ,it was wrong to have rigged the general elections and it was wrong to have tried to cede powers of the state to his wife at the height of his reign in power.
His place in history alongside African greats like Joshua Nkomo,Jomo Kenyatta.,Francois Tombalbaye,Seko Ahmed Toure,Hamani Diori,Filbert Tsiranana,Patrice Lumumba,Augustinho Neto,Amilcar Cabral,Luis Cabral,Kwame Nkrumah,Ahmadu Ahidjo,Nnamdi Azikiwe,Abubakar Tafawa Balewa,LeopoldSenghor,Dawuda Jawara,Milton Obote,Isaias Aferwerki,Paul Kagame,David Dacko,Nelson Mandela,Sam Nujoma,Kenneth Kaunda,Siaka Stephens,Sylvanus Olympio, all of blessed memories save for Kagame and Aferwerki is assured as his tireless efforts at making the African man to be respected amongst his peers globally is not lost .
Yes,he made mistakes as a man but his strength far outweighs his errors of human judgment and should be forgiven for this even as it came as a great cost.
We plead with the entire Mugabe clan ,his supporters within The Zimbabwe African National Union  -Patriotic Front to forgive  the media both local and foreign for all the years of atrocities  committed against Dr Robert Mugabe while alive as he kept reading about his own obituary even while yet alive, this can better be described as a dark moment in the history of the global press.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, amen.

That led to Zimbabwe’s independence Later developments

In 1980 the first phase of land reform, partly funded by the United Kingdom, resettled around 70,000 landless people on more than 20,000 km² of land in the new Zimbabwe.
In 1981 the British assisted in setting up a Zimbabwe conference on reconstruction and development, at which more than £630 million of international aid was pledged.
In 1997 war veterans began receiving individual personal payments of ZW$50,000 each for their service in the war, costing the nation's tax payers billions of dollars and depleting government coffers. Then some months later Robert Mugabe announced the forced acquisition of land under Section 8 would proceed, and within 24 hours the local currency had devalued more than 50% and thus began the hyperinflation and demonetisation of Zimbabwean currency and the "Flights of Whites" from the country, most never to return.
In the time since independence, the Lancaster House Agreement was modified and changed more than 27 times according to a Zimbabwe independent newspaper.
