It has not happened before at least in all of living
memory,not since the Falklands in 1982 between Great Britain and Argentina has
an urgent or emergency meeting declared for a Saturday at Westminster ,Seat of
The British Parliament in London,United Kingdom.
2 or 3 days previously ,The News office Desk of the
E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria had rightly observed and
with a very good reason too that the protracted Border Control issue as it
concerns Northern Ireland could lead to another round of hostilities between
The United Kingdom and the likes of Sinn Fein ,Irish Republican Army ,The New
I.R.A. amongst other nationalists groups in Belfast and Dublin as the Brexit crisis might negate the Good Friday Agreement.
But on Saturday ,19th October,2019 ,the world
woke up to hurriedly convened meeting of senior British Politicians and
government officials from across all the partisan divides as tempers rose at
Whitehall over the highly vexing Brexit affair.
Personalities like the British Prime Minister ,Mr Boris
Johnson,key opposition leader ,Jeremy Corbyn ,Ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer
,Mr Phillip Hammond ,Scottish Nationalist Party [S.N.P.] ,Nicola Sturgeon
,Democratic Unionist Party [D.U.P.]Arlene Forster ,Brexit Party Leader ;Mr
Nigel Farage ,Liberal Democratic Leader ;Jo Swinson ,Plaid Cymru leader: Madam Elizabeth
Saville Roberts ,father of the house: ken Clarke amongst several others all
bared their respective minds on various issues surrounding the entire Brexit
deal which it wants to know what on individual basis what was in it for their constituencies
and political camps .
The Prime Minister ,Mr Boris Johnson had a very hectic time
trying to assuage to the emotions of each and every one that was present at the
meeting as he had continued to insist that leaving the European Union [E.U.]
was better for a United Kingdom as against the arguments of Labour Party
chieftain ,The Right Honourable Jeremy Corbyn who insists that The Conservative
Party led regime had nothing to offer the British people and should therefore
not be trusted with the future of the nation and should buzz –off..
As the hall of the House of Commons got very rowdy ,The
Speaker of the British Parliament ;Mr John Bercow who is leaving at the end of
the month after spending ten years in the saddle had to call in the Father of
theHouse :Ken Clarke t o moderate and intervene at some point.
Analysts observe ,that aside from a little shift ,Boris Johnson
‘s Brexit plan was a prototype of what his immediate predecessor ,Mrs Theresa
May had on the table for the United Kingdom .
Mrs May who was spotted in the gathering looking very
pensive as she listened with rapt attention at her fellow [MPS] Members of the
Parliament and was even seen at some
point moving out of the proceedings for reasons not immediately known by this
reporter who had monitored the meeting via a live footage shown to the whole
world by the SkyNews.
Despite arguments by Mr Boris Johnson that his Brexit plans
was a win-win for all parties concerned ,the members of the British Parliament then
voted for a possible delay of its planned E.U. pullout with 323 MPS voting for
a delay and 306 mps voting for them to pull out on the 30h of October,2019.
During the heated a debate ,at some point a representative
of Plaid Cymru ,The Welsh Nationalist Party had to be reminded by P.M. Johnson
to check her emotions that was running very high as Wales actually voted to
leave the E.U.
It would appear that at this stage the Prime Minister did
not yet envisage that there will be a Brexit delay in the voting pattern that
will play out leading to the Letwin agreement.
Analysts are now cocksure that the
non- resolutions of the Irish question amongst other issues will surely delay the
Brexit affair than previously admitted publicly by 10 Downing Street ,London officials.
At around three P.m. local time in
lagos,Nigeria ,the emergency meeting ended at the British Parliament in London
as officials were seen streaming out of the building at Westminster .
The British Parliament had passed
a law in September,2019 which had required Johnson to request a three months
delay if parliament has not approved an exit agreement by the end of last
Saturday ,19th of October,2019.
Johnson had said that he will obey
the laws and will not request for any forms of delay.
Earlier this month ,government top
legal officer in Scotland gave out assurances
that Johnson would comply with the Benn Act and write the letter asking
for an extension and if the E.U. offered one then he would go on ahead to accept it.
A White Hall insider speaks:”I can
confirm as the P.M. ,he has repeatedly set out that the government will comply
with the law and with the understandings given to the courts in respects of the
rule of law”
It was also gathered that the
United kingdom had submitted the draft text of a new political declaration ,one
part of a Brexit deal with the E.U. setting out the direction of a long term
synergy with the block.
The historic Letwin agreement upon
which the delay of Brexit is now being predicated on is without a doubt predicated
by the several protests ,courts cases and
hurt business and cultural interests over Brexit.
It would be recalled that this
medium had also being at the arrowhead of those who had told the whole world
about the rising wave of poverty in Northern England ,possible evaluation of
the Pounds Sterling,Closure of the manufacturing sector,poor
agriculturalpolicies,fight between the political class ,I.R.A. possible
hostilities aside from several other salient
issues on Brexit leading to the Letwin agreement.
Then the drama continued as the
pro-Brexit movement favoured by Boris Johnson were down and not out on the day
after the completion of the emergency meeting of the 19th of
October,2019 as the P.M.wired a quick
mail to the E.U.in Brussels but left it unsigned
leading to a fresh uproar.
Then the news went viral that the
Prime Minister had enough men on his side of the divide to push through his
Brexit proposals even as voices from Northern Ireland continued to warn of
possible harm to the Good Friday Agreement …
As at press time,The Speaker of
the British House of Commons,The Right Honourable John Bercow put paid to the
P.Ms plans for another vote on Brexit saying this was awfully very wrong at
this time.

to anyone in any way and that includes his own siblings ,he knows it will cause
a rift In Belfast but he does not care ,Scotland will most certainly push for
another referendum on independence but am not sure that Wales can do that”
“My family members have not been
able to access their NHS in Yorkshire,Northern England where they treat us as
if we do not exist at all and I do have relatives
with a medical history of epilepsy and asthma
and so the situation is pretty serious on
Brexit as everyone want it over with”
The situation as at press time
remains very tensed up in London,United Kingdom as the Customs Union amendment is
still expected to be ratified amongst several political surrounding Brexit…
