AYADE'S PAPRDIGM: FROM CRITICISM TO TERRORISM…..THE ACCOUNT OF PROF BEN AYADE (GOVERNOR) AND AGBA JALINGO (JOURNALIST)
PART 3: BEN AYADE'S "MICRO DEMOCRATIC" THREAT
(By Amaso Jack)
"Ayade's greatest headache has been from the African Action Congress (AAC), a political party founded by the #RevolutionNow movement protest leader Omoyele Sowore.
Jalingo, who also doubles as the state chairman of the AAC, has regularly criticized Ayade's governance of Cross Rivers State. Ayade had allegedly threatened that Jalingo will “face prosecution for misinformation.”
Nwachukwu Egbunike, Global Voices Advox
IMPORTANT OBSERVATION:
In a democracy, the STATE of the OPPOSITION defines the STATUS that specific DEMOCRACY and the degree of LIBERTY of the PRESS, is the decree of liberty of that DEMOCRACY.
"MACRO" and "MICRO" "FEDERAL" DEMOCRACY and the FOUR REALM
THE FOUR REALMS
By priority based on POWER
1 Executive
2 Judiciary
3 Legislature
4 Press
FEDERALISM:
On the 23rd page of: "Thoughts on the Nigerian Constitution", his 1966 Oxford University Press published book, (the preface of which he dated June 12, 1966….."JUNE 12"... Cell D Up 2, Calabar Prison; the same Calabar in focus), Chief Obafemi Awolowo, wrote about Federalism this way:
"The only thing which distinguishes a unitary from a federal Constitution is where the supreme legislative authority in the state resides. As we have noted earlier on, in the case of a unitary Constitution the supreme legislative authority in the state is vested in one government. Whereas in the case of a federal constitution, the supreme legislative authority is shared between the general or central government and the regional, provincial, or state governments, all of which are co-ordinate with and independent of one another in regard to the powers and functions expressly or by necessary implication vested in them by the constitution."
"MACRO" AND "MICRO" DEMOCRACY
Karen Sternheimer in her May 09, 2011 article published in the blog everyday psychology, she titled: "Micro Meets Macro: Walking in Your Community" wrote on micro and macro this way:
"One of the first lessons of sociology is recognizing the difference between micro and macro level phenomena. (Micro refers to small-scale, individual or small group interactions, while macro refers to large scale processes)."
Within the dual context of this article and Nigeria, "MACRO" democracy in a Federal state, is assumed to mean democracy at the level of the Federal Government, while "MICRO" DEMOCRACY, is democracy at the level of the state governments.
In a democracy, the STATE of the OPPOSITION defines the STATUS that specific DEMOCRACY and the degree of LIBERTY of the PRESS, is the decree of liberty of that DEMOCRACY.
Within the context of Nigeria, the Federal Government is regarded as the MACRO Democracy, while the state governments are the micro Democracy to which principles apply.
What principles?
1 That the state of Democracy of the "micro Democracy" or state government (is inferred from the state of the opposition) is the status of DEMOCRACY in the state and not the position or Government in power.
STATUS of OPPOSITION, the STATE of "MICRO" and "MACRO" democracy.
At the Federal or macro level, the state of Democracy in the status of the state (Nigeria) measured from the state of the political party in opposition and not the political party in position.
As an example, the image of the political party in opposition marching against a Supreme Court Judgement (considering the breached process that produced the chief Justice) who is the assigning judge that assigns judges to cases speaks volumes of the STATUS of the state of Democracy in the State of NIGERIA, measured from the opposition, just as it was when the legislature had to scale the gates of the National assembly, turned gated of fascism a few years ago.
Observation 1: PDP's MARCH against the Judiciary
"The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has embarked on what it termed “mother of all protests” against last week’s Supreme Court judgement on Imo Governorship appeal."
Observation 2: APC scaling the fence of the National Assembly, turned gates of FASCISM by Jonathan
"VIDEO: Blocked APC Lawmakers jump gate into National Assembly"
Applied to the State governments or MICRO DEMOCRACY, (in this case Cross Rivers State) the state of MICRO DEMOCRACY there is gauged from the STATUS of the political parties in Opposition in the state and the STATUS of democratic well being (or otherwise) of the Political party in opposition, is the STATUS of DEMOCRACY in the state.
What is the state of MICRO DEMOCRACY in Cross Rivers State?
By the evidence of Nwachukwu Egbunike, in his September 2, 2019 article published in Global Voices Advox, titled:
"Nigerian journalist charged with treason after criticizing governor for corruption
Agba Jalingo had accused Cross Rivers State governor of corruption", provided this evidence

STATUS of "MICRO" DEMOCRACY in the state of Cross Rivers State.
From the evidence of Nwachukwu Egbunike's report in Global Voices Advox, the state of DEMOCRACY in Cross Rivers State controlled by PDP measured by the STATUS of the OPPOSITION put DEMOCRACY in danger there because
1 Agba Jalingo is representative of the fourth estate of the DEMOCRATIC realm; the media
2 Agba Jalingo is of the opposition AAC
In a DEMOCRACY the STATUS of OPPOSITION and the liberty of the press are two IMPORTANT indices of that DEMOCRACY.
The way Buhari (APC PRESIDENT) is a FASCIST threat to "MACRO" DEMOCRACY at the Federal level, is the way AYADE (PDP GOVERNOR) is "MICRO" DEMOCRATIC FASCIST, threat to democracy in Cross Rivers State!
Both cases are made worse by high level legal representation in both the "MACRO" government of Buhari and "MICRO" government of Ayade.
Buhari's Vice President is a silk; Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a professor at law, under whom threats to our "MACRO" DEMOCRACY are occurring to a dangerous degree of FASCISM!
His refusal to resign (for the political reason of protecting Vested Interest, just the way Jonathan refused to resign as Vice President, when Yar'adua ordered Military action against the militants in the Niger Delta) as a demonstration of disagreement makes Professor Yemi Osibanjo a party to it, just the way Jonathan was.
Ayade on the other hand, is a Professor of microbiology, who has an LLB in Law from Delta State University Abraka, he obtained between 2006 and 2010, he is a threat to "MICRO" DEMOCRACY of Cross Rivers State, by his actions against Agba Jalingo who is
1 Of the 4th estate of the "MICRO" DEMOCRATIC realm of the state.
2 In Political Opposition to Ayade who holds positional power as the "BULLYING" Executive Governor, of "MICRO" DEMOCRACY in the state, the replica of Buhari, "MACRO" DEMOCRATIC Federal bully
