ZIMBABWE:GENERALS BICKER OVER MUGABE
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
Zimbabwe is in serious crisis over who succeeds ailing leader:President Robert Mugabe and words out there says that there is a serious infighting Between the first lady and the Vice President over who replaces the man who certainly is fighting the end of days syndrome.
International Public Affairs commentator and Chief executive Officer of Sunbird Africa Media Limited in Lagos,Nigeria, Mr Richard Mammah while taking a cursory look at the situation in Harare,Zimbabwe told the News Office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia that if the situation becomes too grave perhaps the military may have to step in with a palace coup also possible on the cards.
He also told this reporter that perhaps due to the issue of corruption in which the military themselves are said to be neck deep in ,they were having problems with stepping into the conflict.
Mugabe long known to be ravaged by cancer had been over looked by the imperialists as they believed that nature will eventually take care of him and as such do not need to start fighting with him but rather should prepare for life after Mugabe.
Things got to a huge embarrassment on two different occasions recently as Mugabe was caught by eagle eye photo  media experts as he either fell down or was seen sleeping in broad day light in state functions.
The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) are composed of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) and the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ). As a landlocked country, Zimbabwe has no navy. The most senior commander of the ZDF is General Constantine Chiwenga and he and other key allies of the almost now vegetable statesman will have to decide who pilot the affairs of the nation soon.
Zimbabwe has a 29,000 military, 21,800 paramilitary strong defense force[1]
As at press time,The Independent Newspapers of the United Kingdom insisted that the military will have no say in who becomes the leader of the nation.
