KENYA IS KENYATTA AND ODINGA'S ESTATE

LATE PRESIDENT JOMO KENYATTA SALUTES DURING A NATIONAL DAY PARADE FROM THE RIGHT WHILE HIS THEN VICE PRESIDENT ,SHARAMOGI OGINGA ODINGA SALUTES FROM THE LEFT
Kenya has being an independent nation since 1964 and for all of those years now in its 53rd  years, the nation  has being a political battle ground for the Jomo Kenyatta and Oginga Odinga political dynasties .
While the Kenyatta's dynasty had always seems to be in control of power by been in the saddle ,The Odinga's no matter how hard they try always seems to end up second best even with the best of intentions.
Some say that this is made very possible due to an unseen hands of the powers of imperialism on the East Africa nation after they had succeeded in arresting Dedan  Kimathi of the Mau Mau Rebellion fame.
Others say that the Late Jomo Kenyatta is just a victim of a  hate campaign by members of the disadvantaged Luo tribe as he was a Kikuyu,Kenya's dominant tribal group.
However one thing is now very certain and that is that one day and very soon ,Uhuru Kenyatta, the current President and his longtime rival ,Raila Odinga will have to leave the scene due to constitutional requirements with analysts fearing both will likely leave some stooge to continue the political dogfight between the Kikuyu and the Luos.
So in 53 years only four men have ever being Kenya's President and they are Jomo Kenyatta,Daniel Arap Moi,Mwai Kibaki and now Uhuru Kenyatta who was born to his father at a rather old and advanced age in life.
In all of those  years ,the Oginga Odinga 's family had always being the leader and the strongest voice of opposition to any form of misrule in the East African nation and no wonder he was made briefly a Vice President of Kenya  during his lifetime.
His Romance with the then President did not last for long as political disagreement ensured he was soon booted out.
Things got so bad between the two elder Kenyatta and Odinga that the latter was sent to spend sometimes in prison thus leading to Oginga Odinga crafting the African literary masterpiece :Not Yet Uhuru at the time.
Uhuru in Swahili language means Freedom and the central message in his book centered on the fact that despite the fact that Kenya was an independent state it was still not fully independent as it was free from all forms of oppression amongst its own .
Jomo Kenyatta most likely responded when he gave birth to a son and instantly christened him ,Uhuru ,a move to insist on the fact that Kenya was finally free from colonization.
But is Kenya really free, well,we leave you to work out the political mathematics as a reader and a watcher of the ubnfolding drama in East Africa.
In a world exclusive interview with The News office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia Group in his Lagos office in Nigeria, leading media and Public Affairs Commentator with specialty of Africa and all blacks in the Diaspora,Mr Richard Mammah said it was save at the moment to say that the political future of Kenya was uncertain since it was the Jomo Kenyatta and Oginga Odinga families that determined who gets what ,when and how in that nation.
He disclosed that even for the 35 years of Kenya's national life that the two political dynasties were not directly in power the tussle between the two were always on ground as the likes of Daniel Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki were proxies of Jomo Kenyatta.
He assured that the emergence of Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga in the nation's political landscape was not some accident as they have a family history  and a huge financial war chest thus both continued the rivalry from where both parents stopped during their life -times.
He lamented that due to constitutional provisions ,Uhuru Kenyatta will soon have to go as this may be his final term in office just as Raila Odinga may likely not have a constitutional backing
in his party .
Analysts believe that since political party constitutional provisions are quite flexible this may be amended to allow Odinga another shot at power in his twilight years of pilgrimage on planet earth.
The Right Honorable Raila Odinga was made The Prime Minister of Kenya between 2008 to 2013  in a  power sharing agreement with the  then President, Mwai Kibaki after a major war had broken out on the streets of several Kenyan towns due to widespread rigging in the 2007 general elections.
What happens next, analysts say the future is seriously pregnant in Nairobi................
