Several weeks after an open letter by this reporter to King
Salman of Saudi Arabia on Socio -Cultural reforms ,the Saudi monarch has proven
that he is truly a father to people of all races irrespective of creed, race or
color through a recent display of fairness on an issue bothering on discipline
in the closely knit spiritual kingdom.
He had ordered the arrest of Prince Saud Bin Abdulazziz Al
Saud after videos implicated the latter for beating people on social media.
According to the
state run Al Ikhrabiya Television's twitter account ,the order was issued by
the Saudi monarch to prevent injustice,despotism,harm and harassment in line
with the true enforcement of Sharia law.
It is now expected that the spirit of double standards will no
longer be on display in states like Bornu
,Yobe,Bauchi,Jigawa,Kano,Katsina,Zamfara,Kebbi,Sokoto among others in Northern
Nigeria who have told the Nigerian Federal Government at the centre in
Abuja,Nigeria that they wish to be governed by the dictates of Islamic laws..
