ALLEN ONYEMA; MY MAN OF THE YEAR 2019….. DID I SPEAK TOO SOON?

On account of two things, I called Allen Onyema, my man of the
year, 2019
1 The airlifting of Nigerians from South Africa at the height of
xenophobic attacts. He did what a responsible government should do but didn't
do. (Details included in part 2)
2 The peace between Benue state and Miyetti Allah. Again a
responsible government should have taken a more decisive stand, but didn't
based on the actions of two senior members of the administration, The Minister
of Defence and the Inspector General of police. (Details included in part 2).
Onyema, a private citizen on his own initiative did what
government should do at his own cost!
With these developments, this well deserved recognition is
hanging in the balance, considering the fact that a man is presumed innocent
until proven guilty.
ONYEMA: BANK FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDRY?
Simon Ateba of Today News Africa USA reported under the
headline:
"How air peace CEO Allen Oyenma used fake NGOs including
"Foundation of Ethnic Harmony", "Every Child Limited" and
"International Center for Non Violence" to launder millions of
dollars to USA"
Simon wrote:
"Prosecutors who charged Onyema with bank fraud and money
laundry in the state of Georgia on friday, did not have much details about what
he did between 2010 and 2013."
ONYEMA: THE HERO AT THE HEIGHT OF XENOPHOBIA
Yomi Kazeem & Yinka Adegoke, reported for Quartz Africa on
September 10, 2019:
"Around 600 Nigerians are due to be repatriated to Nigeria
in the coming days, Nigeria’s consul general in Johannesburg has confirmed. The
first batch of 320 returnees are scheduled to arrive Nigeria tomorrow with
additional flights expected to follow immediately. Logistics for the evacuation
will be provided by Air Peace, a Nigerian airline which has offered to airlift
Nigerians."
Leke Baiyewu in his feature article in the Punch on September
18, 2019, he titled: "Xenophobic attacks: Evacuation brought respect to
Nigeria – Onyema", provided the following details:
"The Air Peace boss, Mr Allen Onyema, has told the House of
Representatives that the evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa has brought
respect to Nigeria across the world"
WHAT RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENTS DO: THE AMERICAN EXAMPLE
Lena H. Sun, in a December 29, 2018 story in The Washington
Post, titled:
"U.S. health-care worker with possible exposure to Ebola
evacuated to Nebraska"
…. provided the following details:
"An American health worker who was possibly exposed to
Ebola while treating patients in Congo was evacuated to the United States on
Saturday and placed in a secure area at the University of Nebraska Medical
Center, hospital officials said."
Responsible government fly out their citizens in times of
distress!
WHAT RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENTS DO: THE NIGERIAN EXAMPLE
…..That was what Murtala Muhammed did. He gave a blank cheque to
late, Alabo David, Robert Lawson Jack, OON, of the National Emergency Relief
Agency (NERA) in the mid 70s. In an operation that involved the Nigerian
Airforce and such names as late George Ayo Osho, who rose to become an Air Vice
Marshal, the task was accomplished.
What is now known as the National Emergency Management Agency,
was initially called National Emergency Relief Agency (NERA)
The cheque was to airlift Nigerians from Fernando Po (now
Equatorial Guinea) back home. They had fled from the civil war only to end up
as slaves. Late Mr Jack accomplished his task and handed back the change, the
Government of Shehu Shagari in 1982, gave him the national honour of Officer of
the Order of the Niger, OON, for this and other services to the country.

ONYEMA: PEACE BETWEEN BENUE STATE AND MIYETTI ALLAH
On the peace between Miyetti Allah Kautal and Benue State, Punch
on October 28, 2019 reported:
"Onyema told The PUNCH that although the meeting was
successful, he was surprised at reports that the Miyetti Allah’s secretary
apologised for the killings in the state.
He said, “Saleh Alhassan, who is the leader of the Miyetti
Allah, never admitted to the killings. He never said they were the ones that
killed anybody. What he said was that, ‘we are here to make peace with the
state.’
ONYEMA: POSITIVE ANTI CLIMAX OF DAN-ALI AND ANTI-OPEN GRAZING.
Sahara reporters in a report titled: "Dan-Ali, Defence
Minister, Asks States To Suspend Anti-Open Grazing Law", published on June
6,2018, provided the following details:
"Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, has demanded an end
to the anti-open grazing law, which is operational in some states."
CRITICAL OBSERVATION:
Mansur Dan-Ali, Nigeria's Minister of Defence showed open support for anarchy, by asking states to suspend a law that had been passed, that was most irresponsible of the Minister and the Government he represents!

The Government not private citizen Allen Onyema should have been
at the centre of the peace effort!
ONYEMA: POSITIVE ANTI CLIMAX OF IBRAHIM IDRIS, THE IG OF POLICE.
President Buhari ordered the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim
Idris to Benue, he blatantly refused the orders and was neither fired nor
reprimanded by the president, but private citizen Allen Onyema, on his own,
went to Benue to broker peace.
Samuel Ogundipe, in his February 1, 2018 account: "How IG
of Police, Ibrahim Idris, disobeyed Buhari’s order on Benue crisis",
provided the following details:
"The Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Idris has yet to
relocate to Benue State, in an apparent affront to President Muhammadu Buhari’s
order last month.
In a directive issued on January 9, Mr. Buhari asked Mr. Idris,
whom he appointed in June 2016, to move to Benue State to restore order and
forestall further attacks on villagers by suspected herdsmen.
The president also emphasised in his January 25 letter to the
Senate that he had “instructed the Inspector General of Police to relocate to
Benue State” and “redeploy forces to the most sensitive areas.”
ONYEMA: "UPROAR, AND ... QUICKLY WITHDRAWN.
The acts of state private citizen Allen Onyema undertook are
worthy of commendation, and reward at the highest levels with a national honour
by the government of Nigeria (if for nothing, he saved them from embarrassment
in the committee of nations) and the man of the year in the people's court of
general opinion.
However, in the light of Georgian revelation of "bank fraud
and money laundry" against the man, his nomination as the man of the year
may be subject to "UPROAR, AND ... QUICKLY WITHDRAWN", in the spirit
of the Nobel peace price of 1939, it may be left vacant

Morality, human values and public opinion, are basic criteria
for any award. Hitler lost out by the strength of public opinion.
Encyclopedia Britannica notes:
"Adolf Hitler who was nominated for a peace prize. Not
laughing? Neither did most people when Hitler was put up for the prize in 1939.
A Swedish legislator had nominated him as a joke, but no one found it amusing.
Instead, it created an uproar, and the nomination was quickly withdrawn."
"uproar, and ... quickly withdrawn" were the backlash
responsible for the withdrawal of Hitler's nomination ...are they wanting for
Onyema?
ONYEMA: SUSPENSION IN THE LIGHT OF HITLER NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
1939.
Hitler wasted life, Onyema saved life, but in the light of the
Georgian revelation of "bank fraud and money laundry"; an unproven
allegation, Onyema's nomination has to be suspended for the hamatern haze to
clear.
The Guardian in an article titled: "Hitler and the Nobel
Peace Prize" published on

contains the following details
"The Irony – Nobel Peace Prize nominees included Hitler,
Stalin and Mussolini"
WHO NOMINATED HITLER AND WHY
"Adolf Hitler, the genocidal mastermind of the Shoah, was
recommended to the Nobel committee in 1939, just three short months before he
led Germany to invade Poland and start World War II. The recommendation came
from Erik Gottfrid Christian Brandt, a social democratic member of the Swedish
parliament. (Members of national assemblies are among the many people who can
nominate candidates for the Peace Prize…… In his letter to the committee,
Brandt calls the führer “a God-given fighter for peace” and “the Prince of
Peace on earth.” He calls Mein Kampf “the best and most popular piece of
literature in the world,” and expresses confidence that the dictator could
“pacify Europe, and possibly the whole world.”
If it sounds like he had to be kidding—that’s because he was.
Brandt was an anti-fascist, and had meant the letter to be
ironic. As he reportedly said in an interview with the Swedish newspaper
Svenska Morgonposten, he had meant it as a commentary on the nomination of
Neville Chamberlain, then prime minister of Great Britain, which he thought was
undeserved, and also sought to provoke Hitler and the Nazis. Later in 1939,
after the war had broken out, he wrote that he had meant the letter’s sarcasm
to “nail [Hitler] to the wall of shame as enemy number one of peace in the
world.”
ONYEMA'S SUSPENSION
With the development of Georgian revelation of "bank fraud
and money laundry" in view, Onyema's nomination (without replacing him)
stands suspended, until there is a definite legal statement for or against.
