Ekiti Guber Polls :Bamidele can upset Fayemi
By Abdulmumini Adeku
The forthcoming gubernatorial race in Ekiti State has been tagged a race which can go either way.
An impeccable source within one of the opposition parties, The Accord Party who spoke to Paedia Express Multimedia on the condition of anonymity affirmed that Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State should right  Mr Opeyemi Bamidele of the Labor Party off at his peril.
He noted that Mr Opeyemi Bamidele currently a House of Representatives member from the state in the National Assembly had a cult followership and could spring a surprise at the polls.
He explained that at the moment there was a crisis in the Labor party orchestrated by people who were averse to Mr Bamidele’s presence in the party fuelling suggestions that perhaps MrFayemi’s strategists have infiltrated the party in an attempt to stop his principal rival in the race for who becomes Governor in the state in 2014.
He revealed that if the crisis remains the way it is at the moment then the polity could witness a situation where there will be nobody to fly the flag for the Labor Party in the state in 2014 Governorship elections.
According to him he has been reading in the media of the good work of the Dr Fayemi led regime but quickly added that this was the work of the Governor’s spin doctors rather than the reality on the ground.
He lamented the practice of collecting as much as N11 million by the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]in the state from the aspiring politicians from there stables ,noting that this may breed corruption in the future.
He enjoined every Ekiti State citizen both at home and in the Diaspora to make haste to join the Accord Party as it was the party of progressives rather than any other political movement in the country.
