SUSPECTED FAKE VACCINE USED FOR 2016 ANTI-MEASLES
CAMPAIGN
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU..
Officials of The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja are now at a loss as to how to evade
Paedia Express Multimedia’s enquiries on the usage of  fake vaccine on children in 2016 during the anti-measles campaign.
In a world exclusive investigations by The News Office Desk of Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos, Nigeria ,it was discovered exclusively through  the Chief Medical Director of a private hospital [names  with held]in Lagos  and a personal friend  of this reporter of how several children started  to develop  rashes and react indiscriminately after the vaccines were administered on them early this year.
An impeccable source while discussing the issue of urgent national action with this reporter lamented that the country only ever get to react to an issue whenever a serious damage had being done especially to highly placed Nigerian .
He noted that he was aware that at least nine children developed serious ailments due to the fake vaccine aside from complaints from various quarters around Lagos State.
According to him ,the epidemiological unit of the  State Ministry of Health  was fully aware of the incident but the source will not know to what extent they have gone on its investigations and its findings as at press time.
The source explained that the B.C.G. vaccine used for children to fight tuberculosis was actually a bacteria strain of the same causative agent which was isolated synthetically and then re-introduced into the body so that it can prevent any future attack of tuberculosis after providing the body with ant-bodies.
The medical doctor insisted that until a thorough medical enquiry backed up with an evidence ,it will be difficult for him at this stage to make a statement on the controversial vaccine
He paid tributes to the health of seasoned psychiatric patients whose body immune and defense systems are so strong that they almost do not fall sick unlike the normal healthy human being, saying this was simply because the former have the right quantity and quality of anti-bodies to fight any form of foreign invader.
When this  reporter enquired from a health official at the Ifako-Ijaiye Health Centre in Ajilete Area of Ifako –Ijaiye in Lagos State, he was informed that though there were bureaucratic documentations to be filed if there were complaints made by patients but fortunately there was no form of complains recorded .
On the 16th of March,2016,the consumers Protection Council drew the attention of the entire world to factors stimulating antibiotics resistance.
The agency’s Director General ,Mrs Dupe Atoki while addressing a cross section of the press explained to the gathering that due to anti-biotic resistance that was very much in vogue in Nigeria there was medical intervention procedures such as organ transplants, surgeries and other forms of treatment that requires a follow up with antibiotics to ensure a patient full recovery.
On the 18 of March,2016,at the Ifako –Ijaiye Local Government Area organized road show to boost the National Immunization programme on polio project ,The Primary Health Coordinator in the area ,Dr Oladapo Asiyanbi while answering questions from a cross section of the press told Paedia Express Multimedia at Pen Cinema area of Agege,Lagos  said that there was no cause for alarm.
According to him ,there was a code of chain process of distributing vaccines right from Abuja to the least local government area nationwide and if at all there was any crisis situation  this  could easily be detected with the situation arrested.
On the 23rd of March,2016,at  The Omonua Blood Bank Limited  medical diagnostic centre in Ikeja,Lagos,Nigeria    this reporter was told by two different sources that due to poor cases of quality control the vaccine in question may have expired without the administering officials being aware of it.
They also cited the case of poor storage of the vaccines which may have affected its shelf life  thus exposing its consumers to danger.
When this reporter paid the office of the Director of Epidemiology ,Lagos state Ministry Of Health  a visit ,an official who spoke to him neither denied nor confirmed the  tale but in a terse reply simply asked this reporter to do a letter to the state Commissioner for Health ,Dr Jide Idris stating his worries.
When this reporter saw his medical doctor pal on the 28 of May,2016,the medical professional scoffed at the former’s revelation on the matter.
His words:”you mean you actually went to their office to query them and you are actually expecting them to confess to you that they administered fake measles vaccines on children”
“you are a very funny and interesting young man,do you not know that if you do not confront them with physical evidence on a field report  that they will deny”
“They will have to deny so as to save  their faces from shame but I know that I saw something”he added
