The Waters of River Benue is on the rise and if care is not
taken the annual flood ritual may soon take place.

Group in Lagos,Nigeria and in the Northern Bureau in Markurdi , Benue state of
Nigeria suggests that some residents were beginning to get worried over the
incessant rainfall as they were increasingly finding it difficult to either
walk on foot through the flood in the streets
or even drive through them.
An impeccable source while confirming the situation via a
telephone conversation said that the shift in the position of the water
levels at Lake Nyos in Cameroun was the direct cause of the yearly flood
The source also pointed out that the National Meteorological
Agency ,a unit of the Federal Ministry of Aviation has since tipped the Niger
Benue trough as a likely area to be flooded soon in a recent on air analysis.
