King David,the second king of Israel in the ancient times defeated the children of Moabs,Syria,Edom,Ammon,Philistines,Amaleks in several field battles.

David eventually captured the city of what is now called Jerusalem which was then being inhabited by the Jebusites and then he made it his e ternal capital ,after having initially had Hebron as his capital.

And David and all of Israel went to Jerusalem which is Jebus,where the Jebusites were,the inhabitants of the land.

From the aforementioned ,we can infer straight away that the children of Isreal were not the pioneers of Jerusalem as they had to fight the pioneers to take over the land.

It was all about territoriality,who ever wins a war takes the lands and properties as the spoils of war.

This told us how the Canaanites could not be expelled by the Jews and had to be given tributes or honorarium

This showed that he [Joshua]acknowledged the fact that they were taking over other people's lands

This also proves that the original inhabitants of Jericho were not Jews,Joshua ,the son of Nun had initially sent out two spies who then hand an unusual encounter with a street whore called Rahab .

It was this woman that was instrumental to the children of israel taking over the land which was not originally theirs.

Three words were a recurring decimal in those verses: Descendants, covenant and stranger ,even Almighty God recognised the fact that Abraham was a stranger in the land he found himself.

Since it is fact of history which neither Judeo-Christain narratives have denied of the paternity of Isaac and that of his step  but older brother :Ishmael  ,in that both of them were offsprings of Abraham then it will only be fair if the  United Nations through the security council take over the city of Jerusalem and manage it as its colony with an Administrative Head.

It is very clear from Biblical accounts that the original owners of teh land of Canaan ,Jebusites or Jerusalem; under which ever nomenclature it was called were wiped out via wars of conquest waged on the places by isreal who insists that they were obeying a divine command.

in inheriting Canaan,the Bible did not tell us that Abraham waged a war ,at least Genesis 13:1-18 never said anything about any form of coercion while taking possession of the land of canaan.

However ;Genesis 14:1-24 proved that the cool gentle  ,nomad from Ur of the Chaldeans could fight in self defence as he had armed 318 people who were born in his house to fight to liberate his nephew:Lot when the latter was captured by the enemies.

It was at this point ,Father Abraham met the king of Salem :Mechizedek and the priest of teh most high God and he blessed him exceedingly with tithe of all.

ABRAHAM'S FIRST CONTACT WITH THE LAND OF CANAAN:

Terahtook his son ,Abram ,grandson:Lot ,daughter-in-law,Sarah and they went out with them from the land of Ur of Chaldeans to go to the land of canaan.

Terah died in Haran at the age of 205 years..

They dwelt initially in Haran but upon a divine direction ,Abraham moved to the land of Canaan.
