B-E-W-A-R-E!!!
Avoid Benin City ,Ile-Ife till after coronation ceremonies
By Abdulmumini Adeku.
If you know what is good for you then take this piece of information very seriously but if you decide to ignore this then whatever happens to you is your own fault.
Do not spend a night in Benin City and Ile-Ife,both in Edo State and Ile Ife respectively if you are not an indigene  till after the end of their forthcoming coronation ceremonies.
The reasons are not far- fetched ,both towns regarded as two of the most ital piece in the socio-cultural jigsaw called Nigeria  have lost their Kings and now they are looking for spare parts to be used in carrying out traditional rites now clashing with 21 st century ideology, To be fore warned is to be for armed.
An impeccable source who confided in Paedia Express Multimedia over the death of Ooni of Ife,Oba Okunnade Sijuwade said that a lot of rituals will have to be performed now till the end of the coronation rites for the new king.
He agreed with this reporter ‘s arguments that African cultural tradition was now in direct conflict with the 21st century realities ,judging from the way the news went viral on social media on the death of Oba of Benin and Oonirisa of Ile-Ife.
His words:”They will carry that Oba’s corpse and hang him by the neck and  pour a lot of chemicals on it to aid the decay process  fast”
“The head will not be severed directly with a knife but will cut on his won and then the liquid that drips from the corpse  during the decaying process will be collected in a big container for another set of ritual”
“A source once told this reporter that certain parts of the King in Yoruba land is cut and then cooked in form of a meal for the successor to eat, with this chain of barbaric custom continuing in secrecy from generation to generation in what is regarded as some form of cannibalism.
Yoruba land will witness a new dawn in its tradition soon as king makers are expected to  choose the 51st Oooni of Ife with Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his godson, Goernor Rauf Aregbeshola expected to handpick a core loyalist rather than Ifa’s choice.
In a related issue the question on everybody’s lips is who become’s the 68th  the ancient Oba of Benin Kingdom continues to cause ripples nationwide
The entire world currently awaits the announcement of the death of the 67 th paramount ruler and Oba of Benin ,Oba of Benin,Oba Omonoba Uku Apkolorkporlor The 11.
In a check by Paedia Express Multimedia on recent development at the Oba’s palace in Benin over his reported demise, it was discovered that the urge by the eldest child to embrace3 the tradition of his forefathers as against the practice of Christianity was causing a lot of tension within the kingdom presently.
An impeccable source  and a son of Bini Kingdom who spoke with this reporter in confidence said that eldest child is allowed to have his way then the kingdom will be back to a full fetish regime .
He recalled that in the past there was a case of a king who was buried with at least 100 people and till date the shrine was near the Ring Road in Benin.
He explained that there was a lot of mystery woven around the Bini Kingdom, noting that no man could build a tall storey building near the palace.
He pointed out that there was a sacred door within the palace where no man could enter except if he had been confirmed as king by the gods of the land as if he was an imposter then he will dies naturally.
He affirmed that if and when an announcement of the Oba’s demise was  made ,then eery Bini true born will have no choice than to cut their hairs in line with tradition.
“There was one of our kings who was dishonored by a group of people from his mother’s village and in anger he put a curse on them and till date  only women were recognized as successful people in that part of Benin”
‘The Bini kingdom has a lot of power and mystery surrounding and you can never bribe your way to kinship like in other places”
“Oba of Benin according to tradition must never see  his first born son physically otherwise a lot opf people may die”

It was learned by Paedia Express Multimedia’s News Office Desk that a King’s mother once sacrificed her life and till date was buried in the entrance to the Oba’s palace in Benin City.
It was gathered too as at press time that the kingmakers were still consulting and performing the ital rites so as to help unravel the mystery behind  who becomes the 68 Oba of Benin

  1. Hogwash. Show me one coronation that is bereft of secrecy. Are you privy to the choice or installation of The Pope for instance? Assumptions, wild guesses and conjectures are not the tenets of journalism.
