President Muhammadu Buhari is in deep trouble at the moment but he does not seems to realize the fact that an innocent fire he had helped to kindled is now threaten to consume him.

The President  has made it very clear of his desire to clean  the rot in the Nigerian system and this was what made him to insist that he will work only with men o proven integrity.

A case in point is somebody like Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola,Immediate former Governor of Lagos state whose reputation is now on the line.

Barrister  Fashola  is not a saint and he has never claimed to be perfect but in his imperfection has helped to put Lagos as  a state and a city to watch out for in the front burner of global politics and business for 8 years as the Governor of the state.

The history of his several fights with his godfather, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the latter’s insistence on certain form of royalty is well  documented in t he annals of time, yet Lagos natives and non-natives alike are quick to say that tribute must be paid to the lawyer turned politician for been shrewd in managing  the resources of the state even in very difficult economic times.

But now the tide has changed ,Ashiwaju tinubu wants to give Fashola a raw deal for his refusal to support his anointed candidate ,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode as Governor due to previous disagreements over Lagos money between the two and now it’s time to use subtle blackmail using proxies.

Feelers as at press time, suggests that civil society groups,lawyers and other interest groups doing the bidding of the Lion of Bourdillon   were now working day and night at making sure that Former Governor Fashola does not make President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list to be announced  next month.

Checks by Paedia Express Multimedia ‘s News Office  showed that Issues hit a crescendo recently at the state secretariat when an argument between some loyalists of the two political heavyweight over the current crisis almost resulted   into a free for all brawl but for some divine intervention .

However the Former Governor’s camp is not taking things lying low because as at press time ,this reporter reliably was informed of efforts been made by them to compile the dossier on other governors of the All Progressives Congress stock either in office now or in the past as a weapon to fight The Presidency for rejecting their man.
