LAGOS,NIGERIA IN THE COURSE OF A HIGHLY REWARDING CAREER.In a blaze of glory
AS POSTED ON FACEBOOK AND RECEIVED ON THE 23RD DECEMBER,2018..
At the risk of being immodest, the song that came to my mind last Thursday after the send forth solely organized for me by Sam Omatseye to mark my exit from The Nation on December 31 was Blaze of Glory by Kenny Rogers.
Along with my wife and children who are my home base support team, I heard tributes about me by colleagues that I knew was not by power, nor by might, but by the grace of the almighty God.
The Bible says without a vision the people perish, but without people vision can also perish.
I appreciate the support and understanding of my colleagues from the gateman to the Managing Director. I am leaving The Nation with unforgettable memories of the awesome times we have all had.
Like I noted in my response, The Nation in many ways gave me a second chance of accomplishing my career dreams for which I will ever be grateful and will do my best to reciprocate.
Special thanks again to one of Nigeria's foremost journalist, columnist and writer @samomatseye for the honour of the glorious ceremony. The Lord will reward you abundantly

As Kenny Rogers sang in "Blaze Of Glory" :
Let's go out in a blaze of glory
All good things must end
Like two heroes in a story
Let's go out like we came in
In a blaze of glory.
All good things must end
Like two heroes in a story
Let's go out like we came in
In a blaze of glory.
To God be all the glory and honour.
