Kami Rita Sherpa scales Mt Everest 23 times

KATHMANDU: A 49-year-old Sherpa climber stood atop the world’s highest mountain for the 23rd time today becoming the only mountaineer in the world to hold the record for most summits on Mt Everest.
According to Mingma Sherpa, Company Chairman at Seven Summit Treks, Kami Rita Sherpa from Thame village of Solukhumbu district successfully climbed Mt Everest at around 7:50 am from Nepal side breaking his own record for most summits on the roof of the world. Last year, Sherpa climbed Mt Everest for the 22nd time.
