The News office Desk
of the E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria can now confirm
that the Kingdom of Morocco is the oldest surviving socio-cultural and
political dynasty on the continent of Africa.
Checks showed that the
Berbers make at least 33 percent of the
population with the remaining 67 percent Arabs in orientation.
It was discovered that
Arabs had come to the Kingdom’s present location as wave after wave of several
military conquests in the 7th,8th,11th,12th
and 13th centuries and in the process built cities like
Marakech,Fez,Rabat amongst several others.
In 786 A.D. ,The
Idrissid dynasty was installed near Volubillis with the city of Fez becoming
the capital of the Moroccan Muslim state .
It was gathered that
in the 2nd part of the 17th century ,the famed Alaouite
or Alawite dynasty from Tafilet succeeded the saadite dynasty .
The Alawites according
to multiple sources use the title:Moulay ,which makes it lay claim to been
direct descendants to the noble blood of the Holy Prophet Mohammed [P.B.U.H.]
In the 17 the century
,the Alawite dynasty was founded by Rashid who had captured Marakesh and part
of what is now the coastal parts of Spain.
He was later replaced
by Moulay Ismail who made a capital of the city of Meknes at the time in
history.
It would appear that
being traced to the Holy Prophet’s Mohammed’s noble bloodline is a symbol of
dynastic rule and survival in the Arab world in the ancient times till this
day.
The Hydara’s of
Senegal and Mauritania also trace their lineage to this great bloodline and
ancestry in history..
In the same vein
,Egypt’s continuous history dates back to
at least 6,000 years ago as far as the annals of human civilization is
concerned ..
However ,the modern
state of Egypt got her independence from the British government on the 28th
of February ,1922.
At the time of independence
,the Sultan became King Fuad ,1st ,he however died on the 28 th of April,1936
and was succeeded by his 17 years old son ,King Farouk,1st .
Officers from the
Egyptian military not satisfied with the state of the nation at the time struck
on the 23 rd of July,1952 with Lieutenant Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser emerging
as a folk hero even though he helped install a certain General Mohammed Naguib
,Naguib lost power on the 14th of November,1954..
In a related issue on
monarchy based dynastic rule on the continent ,checks also shows that a nation
like Uganda had three great Kingdoms and they are Buganda,Bunyoro-Kitarara and
Nkore.
An empire like Buganda
had being in existence since 1200 A.D.but had a distinctive feature of not
having a clear direction as far as succession of Kings were concerned.
In a nation like
Nigeria ,Nok culture is the oldest form of civilization and it has being in
existence at least 2,500 years ago..
Hence,the vast
kingdoms in Hausa,Yoruba ,Igbo Nations among several Nigerian socio-cultural
entities are not more than 2,500 years of human existence.
The Kingdom of
Eswatini ,formally called Swaziland actually started as a Kingdom in the mid 18th
century and till date King Maswati is
regarded as the last absolute ruler in Africa due to his wide but sweeping
powers in his kingdom.
The stool of the
emperor of Ethiopia is strongly believed to have being around for at least
3,000 years but this finally gave way in the early 1970s to coupists.
In Ghana the highly revered
Asantehene seats on the throne of the Ashanti kingdom ,in modern times only
the nation’s President has more powers and respect .
The Ashanti nation and
other Akan speakers started to occupy there present location around 15th
century but gradually grew in leaps and bounds until it became the most
powerful in the old Gold coast..
In congo basin,there
exists the Kongo which had one of the most powerful early early kingdoms in
Central Africa ,they had established the state of Kingo south of the lower
Kongo River by 1300 and by the 16th century there were other states
like Loango ,Ngoyo and Kakongo ,North of the river.
The King of Kongo ,the
main Congo was the most powerful ruler of his time in history..
