The Nigerian Military High Command and its multi-national
partners have being indicted for its
refusal to use the highly sensitive ;Blood Hound in pursuing the war on
terrorism..
In a world exclusive chat with The War Room and Defence Strategic Desk of the
E.N.M.Paedia Express Multimedia Group of Lagos,Nigeria ,Dr Joseph Adekanye
,Chief Executive officer of the Dog Pound Canine Veterinary Medical Center at 81 Pipeline Road in Idimu
,Lagos,Nigeria lamented the state of what is supposed to be man's best friend
as far as the dog was concerned .
Dr Adekanye insisted on the benefit of a professional
hindsight that he was saying it emphatically that no dog was being used in the
fight against Boko Haram as this should have helped to reduce the casualty
figures so far.
He assured that if dogs were deployed properly for the war
on the insurgency ,he was sure that there will be no room for cases of
ambush leading to the loss of lives in
several cases.
He revealed via the world exclusive chat that the Blood
Hound Dog Breed would have helped the nation a lot if it was deployed on the
war on terror properly.
His words:"Every human being has a body odour and for
everyday you step out your odour lingers on for three weeks ,save for the fact
that you can decide not to go to the area in three weeks and then the smell
will go away.
"The Blood Hound has the most potent smell sense ,you cannot
mask your smell from him even if you are underwater and you have a criminal
intent it will look for you almost immediately, as a soul thinketh so is he

According to The New Encyclopaedia Britannica ,Volume Two
,Page 292,the Blood Hound is a breed of dog unsurpassed in human history by any
other in scenting ability and from which most of the scent hunting hounds have
being deprived .
In a related issue ,The New Encyclopedia Britannica ,Volume
2,Page 149 noted that Mastifs which were originally used as guard and watch
dogs have since being superseded by more agile breeds such as Doberman Piushers
and the German Shepherds .
The dogs best developed senses are smell and hearing ,its
nasal passages can process large amounts of air and the olfactory centre
in the brain is enlarged .
The dog hearing is also acute as it can respond to
frequencies of up to 35,000 vibrations per second
as human hearing stops as 20,000 .
In a related issue ,as it concerns the welfare of the dog as
far as the war on terror was concerned ,The Nigerian President ,Muhammadu
Buhari has been charged to honour Dogs who have helped the military in the
fight against all forms of criminal activities over the years .
Dr Joseph Adekanye while appraising the place of security
dogs in the nation's security apparatus ,noted that two months ago he saw in
the media of how a dog that lost its frontal paws in Afghanistan was decorated by the United
States of American President ,Mr Donald Trump for extra ordinary acts of
bravery and courage in military service.
Adekanye also recalled watching the U.S. Marine Corps one
decorating a dog with a national burial after years of outstanding services to
mankind through its selfless services to the nation through the military .
The veterinarian showed several shots on the web of dogs who
have served in not less than three locations of national tour of services as
far as their military career was concerned .
He lamented that poor state of dogs within The Nigerian
military High Command ,noting that they were poorly taken care of.
He added it was high time ,The Nigerian Presidency accept
the norms worldwide by honoring dogs for their contribution to the growth of
the nation.
