OBA AKIOLU MAY BE KICKED OUT IF P.D.P WINS
BY ABDULMUMINI ADEKU
OBA OF LAGOS,RILWAN AKIOLU IS BELIEVED TO BE ONE OF THE SEVERAL MONARCHS THAT COLLECTED MONEY FROM PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN BUT STABBED HIM

Except there is a divine intervention of some sort feelers as at press time suggests that the highly controversial tenure of Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos which is believed is been challenged can eventually lead him to been flushed out if the Peoples Democratic Party comes to power as the Oba of lagos
An impeccable source  told Paedia Express Multimedia in Lagos,Nigeria that the statements credited to the king in the last 24 hours over a curse he placed on any one who voted against Mr Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress has a greater implication than it was previously thought.
The source explained that Oba Akiolu has been using Former Lagos state Governor,Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bribe the judiciary so that they look the other way  thus continuing to play in his role as Oba of Lagos.
The source added that the direct rival to the present Lagos king in the kingship tussle is at the moment living in Ogbomosho but quickly added that had it not been that money exchanged hands Oba akiolu was not supposed to be in office.
Yet another source told this reporter that the Igbos who are known to control the commercial heart beat of Lagos are also said to have gotten weave of the information that they may lose the Trade Fair Complex in Lagos where they hold sway if the All Progressives Congress gets to power.
The much-anticipated hearing of the suit challenging the legality of Oba Riliwan Akiolu’s accession to the throne of Oba of Lagos was recently stalled due to the absence of trial judge, Justice Samuel Candide-Johnson of Lagos High Court, Igbosere.
Justice Candide-Johnson, had at last adjourned date, awarded N50,000 cost against Akiolu’s lawyer, Aderemi Bashua for delaying the suit.
The judge had imposed the fine after entertaining arguments from parties on whether Akiolu or his lawyer should be held liable for frustrating hearing of the case.
Meanwhile, the matter has now been fixed for Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
The claimants, Prince Sammy Adedoyin Adebiyi and Prince Rasheed Modile, had in suit No. LD/1215/2003 prayed the court to set aside the appointment and installation of Akiolu as the Oba of Lagos.
Joined in the suit as respondents are Governor of Lagos State, Attorney-General of the State, Prince Babatunde Akitoye, and Chief Junaud Eko.
The claimants, in their amended statement of claim, are praying the court to declare that only two ruling houses being the Akinsemoyin and Ologunkutere ruling houses were entitled under Customary Law to present candidates and fill any vacancy in the stool of the Oba of Lagos.
They are also seeking for a declaration that the purported selection or appointment of Riliwan Babatunde Osuolale Akiolu as the Oba of Lagos by the kingmakers and approval of same by the Lagos State Government was illegal, null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
The claimants are also demanding for enquiry as to whether it was the turn of the Akinsemoyin ruling house to fill the stool of Oba of Lagos.
Besides, the claimants are seeking for a court order declaring that the Ologunkutere ruling house was stopped in law and it was the turn of the Akinsemoyin ruling house to present a candidate to fill the Stool of Oba of Lagos after the demise of Oba Adeyinka Oyekan, among others.
But, in his amended statement of defence, Oba Akiolu is urging the court to dismiss the suit with substantial cost on the ground that it was misconceived, frivolous and embarrassing.
The monarch said it was not true that his selection, nomination, appointment and installation were obtained corruptly, insisting that due process was followed.
